Reviews Patch On The Plaza

Nestled in the heart of Windsor, this is a really charming, family-owned, alfresco restaurant in a patch underneath the main shopping area. It’s also locally sourced, with plenty of plant-based options. My partner and friends went rather bananas with ordering closer to 4/5 smaller plates, at which point the helpful manager pointed out we’d potentially ordered too much. So many flavours, definitely the courgette flower was a highlight. The orange wine was worth tasting too. A great summertime spot.

My partner and I came here when they first opened and it was incredible. Family run and you could tell they really believed in everything THEY did and do along with their CUSTOMERS. We decided as a celebration of our hard work, we should re book PATCH on the Plaza again for the .. probably 10th time. We couldn't have even more blown away. Service was so timely and professional. Warm and welcoming. Wine exceptional and food was better than ever before. We ordered the beef, lamb and more and honestly for such big portions, they skillfully made it look eloquent and unique. Flavours, you'll never forget. Anyway, you've read enough and last words. You truly need to try it to believe it. Did I mention the fun, hidden bar with the telephone box? Thank you PATCH on the Plaza for an exceptional night!

These guys are up to something special here! Oh my! Impressive! The food was super tasty and well presented. I highly recommend the “Panko Lasagne Fritta” (fried lasagna) and the Bavette Steak (medium rare). The cocktails were also amazing! The Spiked Blueberry (recent addition to the menu) was refreshing, with the bubbles creating a surprising texture and freshness to the drink! The food and drinks were complemented by the excellent customer service - from being greeted to our table all the day to the end 🥹👏🤌🎉 I highly recommend this place!!!

Amazing service and food as always! I’m plant based, my partner is not, and they’re always happy to adapt dishes for us both to eat or make something off menu for me - that’s how you know there is a proper chef in the kitchen! Thanks, we’ll be back soon!

Visited the patch over Xmas eager to try some fusion inspired food, although I’ve normally found the concept to be a little hit and miss. But after pretty much having half the menu I can confidently say you can’t really go too wrong with anything on the menu. The combinations are fused with the perfect amount of Asian ingredients to create great complimentary combinations without overpowering any of the meats or other ingredients, which sometimes can easily happen. The test fried chicken and glazed patch piggies were crispy and flavourful. The sirloin of beef and seared venison were as tasty and rich as they sounded from the menu. The setting is also charming and tastefully decorated to create a great outdoor experience while the service as polite and super attentive. We had a great meal and will be back to try the other half of the menu.

I write this review with a heavy heart as I can't possibly see food this good being available to mere mortals for long at all before rosettes and stars are slapped on this place and we're priced out of the game. What these guys do with food is simply sensational and my wife and I were totally blown away by every single dish we ate last night. It's like global fusion tapas if I had to describe it. We reckon this is the best restaurant food we've ever eaten and we've been to some supposedly amazing places. All pale in comparison to Patch on the Plaza. Oh and don't be afraid to take your servers recommendation on dishes to order, they're not trying to sell you, they have you and your stomachs' best interests at heart.

Seriously cozy vibes. I was worried about the temperature because it was cold outside but they accommodated with really nice heaters and the food was amazing. Definitely will be coming again :).

This place was phenomenal. My wife and I were visiting from the states, saw the castle, and happened upon this place for lunch. Didn’t make a better choice for food on our entire 2 week trip. The fried chicken “bite” was easily the best single dish we had while overseas. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Drinks were also delicious and refreshing, and between the watermelon martini, mango daiquiri, and passion fruit margarita, we were feeling great! Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a laid back and high quality meal.

It is a great secluded place, away from the crowds. Lovely food. Small plate concept. Very attentive service. Went there for lunch.
