Great theatre. Pls note that some of the rows in the stalls are very snug, not all of them, but some - so it might be an issue for taller, bigger folks.
Last time, I sat in the Royal Circle, front row and center, and it was perfect. Comfy and the view to the stage was incredible.
Worth mentioning
This is a great small venue. It is easy to find your way around with good signage. The staff and friendly and plentiful withe a bar & tea bar next to each other.
I am happy every time I've visited.
However I have seen Patrick Duffy twice recently and his voice appears to be very soft so that one c
Lovely small theatre. We were in row c and view was very good. Bar is busy with limited seating but nothing unusual for a theatre bar, in fact larger than some. Several eateries nearby. We saw '12 Angry Men' which was excellent.
Nice little theatre. Very friendly and helpful staff. The actors should have been miked as some of them were quietly spoken (Patrick Duffy). The bar area is soulless and the piano playing was dire.
Delightful theatre just below the Castle. We saw Ian McKellen and Roger Allam in the brilliant two-hander play "Frank and Percy". The theatre has a great bar for pre and interval drinks. Nice staff, particularly the guy in the entrance shop.
We saw Roger Allam and Ian Mckellen in Frank and Percy, not only an excellent performance, what an honour! The theatre is as intimate as you'd want it, plenty of space, yet everyone can enjoy a good view of the stage.
The Theatre Royal Windsor is an old theatre with enough faded glamour to make visiting it a rewarding experience. I did so today to see a gently humorous two hander, "Frank and Percy," which, though dramatically underpowered (more "Waiting for God" than "Waiting for Godot") was elevated by its stagi
I had the most wonderful afternoon at the performance of Frank and Percy today by our country’s finest actors, it was the best play I have seen, so heart warming, thank you for your brilliance Roger and Sir Ian 🥂🙏
The Windsor theatre is a lovely place and puts on some good plays and tribute bands. We went to see 12 Angry Men and really enjoyed the show which had a standing ovation.
Although this theatre is over 3 hours away, I have visited more than most, as they do showcase some gems. I always have the front stalls as its the perfect view for the stage, staff are helpful, its always a great experience, parking is just a few hundred yards away.
