It can’t get better than this !! A 350
Year old pub ...having a 400 years old beer (Asphall)....a brilliant yet quaint joint!! Could have never asked for anything better :) please please please hit this place if you can (and yes lots of vegetarian options, Infact they have a signature veg dish )
Amazing food and amazing ambiance! Would love to go again when in England! 😀 the food took a little too long to arrive but when asked they said the chef wouldn’t send out mains while the starters are still on the table ! But all in all the food was great and I’d suggest this place for a perfect country pub experience for foreigners visiting Windsor!
I live in Windsor and happily eat here often. Nice Sunday lunch but book first to avoid disappointment
Classic pub grub in beautiful setting right beside Windsor castle
Haven't written a review in a long time, but I will have to say that this place deserved it for the best Yorkshire puddings I've had so far! Light and crispy! I tried their Sunday roast- lamb, beef and pork belly. Liked the lamb best, but the pork belly was done well too, with crispy crackling. Vegetables were also really tasty, and service was good. I found the lighting a little too dim even with the candle on the table, but no regrets visiting this place. Servers were proactive, prompt and polite. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Windsor, and it's just beside the Long Walk so after a meal one can take a walk...
We are Sunday lunch here before attending the Coronation Concert. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food delicious!
I had the rib eye of beef, which was so tender. It was served with stuffing, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and carrots.
The only negative was the house wine. We paid £9.50 per glass, but the measure of wine was small and it wasn't of very good quality.
We would definitely return to this pub, but we'd stick to drinking pints.
After a 17k walk, which included a round trip of ‘the Long Walk’ with the little dog I was minding, we found the best respite here.
I treated myself to a pint of Amstel and a Ribeye Sunday Dinner.
I dramatically exclaimed to the lady behind the bar that it was the best roast I’ve ever had. I wasn’t exaggerating.
Dave the dachshund agreed.
The place is great as mentioned in all must visit pages on internet. We had to stand there for our complete drink as all the tables were reserved. But what so ever, it's a beautiful cozy bar.
Great old authentic British pub full of history. Have to book a table in advanced, as it’s popular with limited space. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Certainly worth a visit if you’re visiting Windsor.
The best pub in Windsor with the kindest staff! Plan ahead and make a reservation. The food is delicious, they have delicious vegan options available too! They accept credit cards.
Nice drink, just by Windsor Park. Didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food.
What a gem of a find!
Good beer.
Friendly staff.
Historic and nostalgic location.
A classic old pub from the 1700s. It is a small pub - at least smaller than I expected. That's what I get for watching Coronation Street.🤓
My only issue was that my meal took 45 minutes to arrive. I was told that my fish pie was made from scratch. That may well be, but I would have ordered something else if I had known that. It did taste good.
Definitely would go back.
Best roast in Windsor! Friendly staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere inside. Highly recommend. Dogs welcome too!
A beaut spot for a pint. Great location right at the top of the Long Walk and Windsor Castle gate.
Great little place popular place with lovely food.
Fantastic if you manage to get a table out front in the sun. It can get a little crowded but is worth it.
Really enjoyed the chicken with tarragon sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce wasn’t too heavy either.
The wife had goats cheese cake which was also good well. With a nice crispy bite when you break into it but then creamy when you get to the cheese.
Lovely pub, good choice of beverages, all sorts of history and I like how it’s right at the top of the walk! Do suggest.
I got lucky enough to stumble onto Sunday roast here- you must try it if you're in Windsor on a Sunday! Beware, this place books up in advance, if you want to eat here on a Sunday without a reservation, you must get there right when they open.
Pub for drinking. I advise against ordering food, better find a proper restaurant that can deliver fresh and edible meals.
After touring Windsor Castle take a left. Two Brewers is at the end of the street. Good food & a friendly staff! After dining enjoy The Long Walk which is right next to the pub.
One of the best and friendly pubs in Windsor. Situated just outside the start of the Long Walk. A great place for food especially if returning from a walk to the Copper Horse.
A very nice hearty pub, with great choice of food. The staff are great and very accommodating. Its a busy pub and there aren't many tables inside.
