Really nice pub. Went for a walk around lightwater park then stopped for a bite to eat. The lasagne was great and the veg and potatoes lovely, would definitely come again

A lovely traditional pub serving excellent home cooked food. Spacious with a lovely large garden. Friendly and welcoming owners and staff. A truly special find, somewhere we now go regularly and the puddings always hit the spot!

Had lunch here today with my 10 cycling friends and the efficiency of the professional service was impeccable and very good quality of sandwiches way above average pub fare. Lovely conservatory at back. Will go again.

Friday lunchtime lunch for 3. Pleasant and helpful staff, and a nice choice of food on the menu, served nicely. The prices were good, too It's nice to support a free house run by a family. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Lovely, friendly & helpful staff. Popped in for lunch to meet up with my brother & pass over our mother to him for the weekend. Really enjoyed it (as did all). Definitely recommended 👍

A lovely local pub run by a very friendly family who have recently given both the pub and children's playground a makeover. Drinks have always been good, with plenty of choice on offer. Dog friendly with a large outside seating/garden area.

Visited this pub to kill some time whilst in Lightwater. Visited during the day on a Thursday. I did read some of the Google reviews before going but there were so many positive I didn't have any reservations. I don't recognise the poor reviews from my experience there today. I've been to many pubs over the years and this one had a nice feel to it. Very relaxed and informal. Staff were all nice as were some of the patrons who seemed to be regulars. Few comfy old sofas as well as more typical seating. They had the cricket on (great for me) and also Golf and other sport on a different TV. Food was very good and tasty. Very prompt service too and, although they were quiet, sometimes pubs can take ages even then so every credit to them. Can't really fault the place so deserve 5 stars in my book!

This is the spot for our after office gathering. Nice and big bar with plenty of tables. There are outdoor seating and standing area as well for summer and smoker. It is a bar 1st and then the quick meal option, never had a meal here so comments on food but we enjoyed a quick serving of drinks.
