When you first visit Winchester you can’t help but notice this amazing building that stands out next to the King Alfred Statue. Imposing Victorian building of the Guildhall of Winchester serves different purposes these days. Very friendly Tourist Office is right there with some pretty interesting di
Stunning building, unfortunately I couldn't go inside, but it's a beautiful historic building from the outside too.
Interesting and well maintained public space. I attended an event as a hanger-on which was held at the Guildhall. I didn't really know what to expect but both of the rooms which were used were clean and well decorated with the sorts of historical portraiture which could only be found in a place li
Very beautiful, interesting and well maintained grade listed venue. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. All types of events are catered for and facilities are all in place to ensure a successful occasion. I was really impressed with it when I attended a conference. Excellent.
I walked past the Guildhall, looked up and saw the Ukrainian flag with the Union Jack. It’s nice to see the unwavering support for this country. I didn’t visit the tourist information area today but will definitely come back again soon. When the Spring flowers are in bloom in the City.
Went for a conference with the IOA. Great conference facilities, good lunch and helpful staff
Lovely craft fair with beautiful selction of products. The history on the walls in side is fabulous and I enjoyed reading about the Marchioness.

I decided to make a trip to Winchester on the 24th July 2018. I had never been before. Winchester is a city and the county town of Hampshire, England. It is situated about 61 miles south west of London and around 13 from Southampton which is its closest city. Winchester developed from the Roman town

Overall, good venue for a raucous Ceilidh. The hall was roomy enough and music/sound travelled reasonably well across its expanse. It could've benefited from more ubiquitous air conditioning, though. There was only a spitful of it at the back of the hall if you sat on a specific chair...!
Beautiful old guildhall in the centre of this gorgeous old city. Perfect spot for a conference or show.
Great venue for BBC History Magazine weekend. Two good sized lecture rooms, good bar and cafe. Spacious and well looked after.
Very nice event. The "Winchester Wine Festival" was well worth the price of entry! Found a new cocktail too!!!
Very nice place with some great explanation of history
Great to be back in this iconic venue for Modern Jive freestyle dancing.
This F&C is in the top 5 restaurants, and it's close enough to visit often. I'm looking forward to trying the pie selection as they look impressive.
