My wife and I along with our 5 year old son called in to this pub as we were passing by, quite late and asked if food was available, it was not a busy night and it looked like every one was just relaxing, the owner explained there was only limited food available as they were not really expecting any

We were stuck on the M3 for several hours, and after being able to exit the motorway we decided to call at the Rising Sun as it was advertised on a road sign. We were all welcomed, and Glynn was a fantastic host. Our meals were 100%.
Our dog was also given water and treats .

Lovely starter and main. Plentiful portions at a reasonable price. Visited while on holiday but would definitely recommend. I believe they are starting a Tuesday Night Curry Evening each week which I am sure would live up to expectations.
A wonderful assest to our village, we are so fortunate to have 'The Rising Sun'. What an amazing landlord & team! The best location for a party too, with fab food - topped with karaoke! Thank you 5⭐️

Went here for a weekday lunch with the Mrs. First time I've been since it re opened in August (2021). Had the home made burger. Best burger I've had in years and there was a lot of food on the plate. Nice service too.
Sat 24th - Went for lunch with the Mrs and dog. Still the best pub garden in the area and lunch menu was very good. Ordered all the sharer menu and tasted delicious. Kofte, Calamari, Prawns and Greek Salad are fresh and lovely for a Saturday afternoon.

Fantastic birthday celebration last night! Glynn, Ellie and the team really made our evening so special. The chilli was amazing.. nursing sore heads today but a well needed , relaxed evening after recent tough months. Thanks again , you are legends!
