The William Walker, Winchester - Winchester - Photo album

The music is wonderful, there are great beer options AND there are free sanitary products in the toilets. Any pub ever will instantly go up in my opinion as soon as they provide free sanitary options but they also provide OPTIONS. I love it.
Food and service were very good and would come again - but standout was the home made tomato soup which came with bread and a generous amount of butter to enjoy (not the usual ‘one pat’ wrapped in foil, which is never enough). The name of the pub is an amazing story: William Walker the dedicated, b
Best Chicken, Ham and Leek pie I have ever had! The appetizer tart was also incredible. Fee was an excellent provider of great customer service and a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend!
Small, quaint pub with great food choices and tap drinks which taste great. Definitely recommend!
Great pub lovely location just down from Winchester cathedral. Bar staff friendly and can't do enough for you. New menu, great choices, large portions, food delicious and reasonably priced. Well wort a visit
Great place for a drink, with music on Saturday nights. Service excellent, but it was very, very noisy, as it isn't always tuneful music. We didn't eat here, so can't comment about food.
Another Fuller's chain pub. Small and cosy. It was fairly quiet during my visit, but I was surprised how quickly my fish n chips appeared, Although it tasted ok, pretty standard pub food, that said, would probably visit again
Good atmosphere, very good service and very good food, all what you expect when visiting a classic English pub
Great for lunch and good for a drink and dinner after we had spent day wandering Winchester. Steak, ale and mushroom pie was lovely. Meze platter for two was great but a bit short as a main. Worth booking if weekend as lots of tables were booked from 6.30 onwards.
Really nice town pub. Clean, well presented, and well looked after beer, which is very important! It's a Fuller's pub, so it has the usual suspects but with a couple of extra bits. The team was very friendly and helpful to guide my friend and I around the choices. Food looked good, but we didn't eat
*Dog friendly* Wow. I wasn't expecting this. Lovely tapas style dishes, great cocktails. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Went for a Wed lunch. Highly recommended.
First time here. Lovely pub. Great staff. Food was nice although we thought the portions were a little on the small side. Other than that, all good. Be happy to return.
Lovely old pub and very tasty food. Excellent service
Always cosy, classic English pub vibes. Lively staff, lovely decor. Nice wines and desserts are delish! Went Christmas day and the fire was on. Very Jolly. Just steps from Winchester Cathedral. Also dog Friendly!
Having had an abhorrent experience at the Wykeham Arms recently, was reticent about visiting another Fullers pub in town. Mitch and the team at the William Walker were simply outstanding - attentive, polite, accommodating and innovative. Short staffed and with a fryer busted in the kitchen limiting
Good choice of light bites. Seemed to be some very good large meals. Staff were helpful. Pleasant upstairs room.
