Loved it walked in on a Saturday night hadn't pre booked and staff was helpful and the food amazing my other half had buffalo mozzarella pizza and he words it was just like the one he had in Rome and the puddings was amazing sorbet which was just like being back in Rome and the chocolate pudding I had well I've never had something like that before a chocolate dome with ice cream in and they pour hot toffee sauce over the top at the table it was rich but amazing I'm not a pudding person but I loved it and the girl severing us was lovely I'd go again we even googled the nearest ask to us as we enjoyed.
Waitress was on the ball, took orders and brought drinks over. There was a wait for food however we was chatting so it wasn't too bad. I had the veggie risotto which was full if flavour and was just the right size portion and tiramisu for dessert. Really good. Kids were impressed with the chocolate Etna dessert. Would definitely come back when I'm in Winchester. Loved it.
Friendly and attentive service. The kids menu is great and went down a treat. Also like the light options available. Will definitely visit again especially with my grandchildren as they loved it!
The staff are awesome, the food is even better would recommend it to anyone
We had an really good family meal here following a look round the Christmas markets, so it was mega busy but the service was friendly and attentive and the quality of food was excellent.
Vegan and vegetarian choices. Helpful friendly waiter. ASD friendly. Food came quickly. Food very good. Happy family :)
Lovely staff, friendly and helpful! Food was lush and we received a small, complementary home made Lemonade on arrival. My boyfriend and I loved our spontaneous dinner out. There was a slightly longer time gap between starters and mains than we would have expected, but a lovely atmosphere and food none the less.
The pizza is really tasty, the best one I've ever eaten in the UK. What must be also recommended is pork belly porchetta in the second picture. It looks not so good because of the dark part in the surface. However, the pork belly is quite soft and delicious with sauce inside the plate. It really beyonds my expectation. The only shortcoming is that the speed of serving the dish is quite slow.
I've been there many times and never left disappointed. Furthermore, the service levels keeps on escalating each time. However, getting a table during lunch time is really hard, so try reaching early.
You get a complimentary lemonade shot when you enter the restaurant. Croquettes, calzones, pasta, risotto and pizza; are all delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this place. Our large group received exceptional service—quick and efficient. With a variety of pizzas ordered, I had the opportunity to sample a few, and I must admit the food was outstanding. Even our Italian friend gave her approval of the place. The dessert was a real highlight for me. Being able to enjoy a plate with various dessert options was a brilliant idea, and the flavors were simply phenomenal. Walked in for lunch. Busy restaurant but space available. Very accommodating for a group with a baby and pram. We ordered the margarita and verdure pizzas and the sphagetti pomodoro. Prompt service and so good to taste. The pizza bases tasted so fresh. For dessert, we had the lemon tart which was a little too sour. Good experience all in all.
Went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed it it was our 2nd date and we will be coming back again , we recommend it.
I went into the Ask Italian whilst I was staying in Winchester.
I always have their lemonade at the end of the meal as it clears the palate
I had their Arcani which was delicious.
I used to use Ask Italian restaurants regularly and I had forgotten how delicious the Arcani were.
All the staff that I met were all so friendly and helpful.
When I say that I am of course including all of the boys and girls that we do not see without whom the Restaurant would not run so smoothly.
I am sure that I will be eating in this Ask again.
Excellent afternoon tea served by very polite staff in an excellent setting I would certainly recommend The Ivy
Went here for my friend's 18th and we had the private room upstairs. The staff were so kind and patient, especially considering the size of our group, and the food was delicious and arrived quickly. Plenty of vegan options and the raspberry lemonade is incredible. Ordering on the website is really easy and makes it so simple to split the bill, or pay for what you ordered. Definitely recommend!
First rate experience, table for five, evening meal. Great food and wine choices delicious deserts. Waiter was dedicated to set tables, he had a great sense of humour and totally understood our needs and perfect timing. No rush or pressure. A lovely period building added to the atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Lovely family reunion lunch today celebrating my birthday and seeing my uncle after 3 years with the pandemic! Thank you Chloe and TJ for making it so nice. Food was great, service slightly slow but wine, strawberry lemonade and ambience made up for it.. great place to spend a few hours and forget about any troubles 🇮🇹
Restaurant in a 16th century building.
Tables on two floors
Very good service given by the staff. Excellent menu serving a wide choice of Italian food.
Service was very good considering there were a few tables with about eight or more people, in addition to the normal seating of four people.
Very busy evening, and would recommend booking a table in advance
I actually could not fault this restaurant even with the lack of staff and some menu items not being available due to supply problems. The staff clearly work hard and provide excellent service as well as make it as good as possible for you. Not to mention that the cooks work just as hard to produce such excellent food even in the heat. A truly hard working establishment that deserves praise.
When we got there at noon, we were the only customers inside. It quickly filled up over the next 45 mins. Once it was full & busy, there was a long delay between courses. I had to ask staff 3 times before we got my granddaughters ice-cream dessert. The menu was extensive and the meals we saw looked well presented. The childrens menu was very good value - 3 courses and a babychinno for £7.50. The photo is the childrens starter.
The toilets were upstairs and clean. Not sure if there's a lift.
Exquisite evening. With a meal that was unparalleled in quality and taste! Fabulous meal!!
