Very friendly and welcoming, we had no booking and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The food was top notch. Lovely location as well, inside and out!
A wonderful hidden gem … bucolic views of the stunning south Somerset landscape, great atmosphere, a convivial landlord and wonderful food.
We popped in on our way to Exmoor and had the most delicious meal. Lovely fresh local ingredients and flavours and beautifully presented. Wonderful to find such great food. Also very kind and friendly staff. Would like to return.

A nice pub with a variety of Ales, wines, spirits and lager. The food was good and service more than welcoming. Portion sizes are good but it felt a little pricey compared to other places of a similar standard. I also have to say the food was good and fresh, more Gastro than standard pub grub, so you do get what you pay for. The table was a little cramped but that was because I was in the pub section with the dog. The restaurant area seemed to have plenty of room. Just a few small things stopping a five star review like broken chair, sediment in the Ale (likely getting towards the end or recently delivered) and not much room where we sat.

Lovely village pub nicely tucked away in the Somerset countryside. 2 good real Ales, Bath GEM, Exmoor Gold. It is food orientated with plenty of room, but still places for locals to drink, including the lovely rear terrace with great views.
Had a wonderful birthday lunch with my grandmother, I've got Celiac disease and was so very well taken care of by all the staff.
My food was absolutely delicious and completely safe for me, I felt extremely well looked after.
The chocolate roulade for dessert blew my mind.
They managed to fit us in very last minute, a beautiful pub inside and out with gorgeous food. Sunday lunch is definitely a must! And staff are super friendly, what a hidden gem
Fabulous service gorgeous food and even though we hadn't booked they went out if they're way to welcome us and make up a table for us. Staff we're delightful and we will definitely eat there again but will book ahead next time. Highly highly highly recommend this place you won't regret it !!
Stopped at this quaint dog friendly pub for lunch on our way to holiday cottage. The pub is cosy with friendly staff where the food was lovely & tasty. Lots of gluten free options which is great for us. Our two hounds were offered some pork crackling which was very much appreciated!!
Thoroughly recommend 👌
Wow the food and service are brilliant.
A variety of 8 main dishes to be picked plus the burger section and various options for starters.
I will definitely come back.
Nice place, nice staff, good scenery and outside area. Plenty of car parking space, dogs allowed in the bar 👍 (though I think not the dining area at the back - tables to eat available in the bar area though). It's just at the end of lockdown so they only had one fresh beer on tap, that's understandable, the wine we had was pretty good and the list seemed overall a pretty good range (I'm not an expert but my friend seemed pleased). I had the "pheasant, ham and leek short crust pie" (photo is from halfway through, it's not a great photo but tasterd very good). Portions not small but not American either, just right. Would definitely go back.
I do not understand why this place is empty. The food is way beyond pub grub and after visiting a year later, I was not disappointed.
I've munched all over Somerset and this place stands out. On the plus side, there's always a free table too.
Good food. Friendly staff. Lovely views from dining room at the back
Lovely views, great food, good selection of local ciders and very nice staff. 5 stars!
First visit for quite a while, we had a lovely meal prepared to a nice standard which was very enjoyable, would return again
Lovely location. Pleasant staff. Diverse menu. Enjoyable pub
Sent here for my husbands birthday lunch and it was amazing!! The staff were really helpful, setting up a ramp so that I could get into the pub. The staff were really friendly but gave us time to peruse the menu, were attentive but not in your face all of the time. The lunchtime menu was varied but not overly confusing. The family all went for burgers, one beanburger, one buttermilk chicken and two beefburgers. The burgers were all homemade and accompanied with fries and coleslaw. The food was absolutely wonderful and really tasty. We decided to have a dessert which again were truly lovely. All in all it really was an amazing lunch.
Met daughter and family with you. Can not find anything bad.
