I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is good. The young lady recently joined there is polite and professional. However, I find it incredible they have such a high price point before they give you a bag of prawn cracker. My previous local gave me a bag on a ten pound order. Despite being a regular I need to spend at least £25 for a free bag or prawn cracker, and it keeps going up, there is no conession or recognition for being a regular. Let alone any friendly greeting when you go there. A mixed bag.

Always great food. Quick service. Orders below £25 are cash only. The Nisa shop almost next door has a cash machine if you are stuck.

Large portions, piping hot, fresh food and lots of meat used. It's great but the chicken is sliced a bit too thinly, personal preference maybe? I like chunks rather than slices but it's still tasty. The only issue I had is the lack of cutlery. You wouldn't be expected to carry your own cutlery when buying a takeaway, but unfortunately all they had was chopsticks and chip forks. Chopsticks are great and all for the meat and veg but I can't pick up the sauce with them which is the issue. I hope you can get spoons someday

Had takeway from here yesterday for the first time. Ordered A for 1 person (mushroom beef) and C for 2 persons. Large portions sizes, and all very yummy. Will definitely order from Shan Hai again.

Delicious food, friendly service and most importantly, I must say I didn't regret walking 2 km to and fro to "cure my desperate crave" for Chinese food since 31 July. Thank you boss, 异乡遇‘古人’! 😊✌️🙏

Well done Shan Hai. We’ve enjoyed our dinner immensely. We’ve chosen a couple of vegetarian options and the spicy prawns. All was great, hot and yummy. Preparation was super fast and cost was good too. We are recommending you and will be back for more. Also, the young man at the front till was very friendly and helpful and fast.

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways I have tried living in Wimborne (several times). They answer the phone promptly, quickly identifying you from your phone number as a previous customer, and deliver with equal promptness and courtesy. The food we ordered yesterday evening (25 March) was excellent, including complimentary prawn crackers, and delivered in about 30 minutes. One very pleased customer!
