What a gem of a pub this is! Booked a Sunday lunch ahead of travelling down from the midlands for a holiday and what a great start it was. The food was fabulous and the staff were all so attentive and friendly even when clearly extremely busy. Lovely young man with shoulder length dark hair served us. Such an asset to the pub! Booked again for our final night and once again the food was fabulous. Would highly recommend
Fantastic pub, great for kids, lovely atmosphere, delicious food and of course superb service
Really beautiful country pub. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Great tasting food and a good selection of drinks, some local.
Wonderful food, drink and friendly staff. Lots of gluten free options.
First time at this pub and a very nice experience.
Good selection of starters, mains, sides, puddings and Sunday roast. All of them go from classic to fish, vegetarian or vegan. Menu for children available. Nice drinks selection.
The dishes are tasty , well prepared and mouth watering.
The environment is really elegant and enjoyable.
The waiters are kind and available.
Average prices.
It's a yes
Great country pub. Lovely lively atmosphere and the food was great. A good venue for an impromptu dinner. The wine selection was also more than you would expect in a rural pub.
Decided to eat here for Sunday lunch as we were in the local area, we were a bit dubious as the Valentine's menu was still on the website at the end of June! However, it is a lovely pub in an equally lovely village; don't let the online detail put you off! It's quite small and most tables inside seemed booked for Sunday lunch so would suggest people do the same if wanting to visit.
The Sunday lunch was fab; reasonable at £15 for an adult and kids roasts also available. Service times was just right and everything was well portioned and cooked just right. There were some new team members working so finding their feet but they were all friendly and trying hard!
Lovely little pub serving a tatsty Sunday lunch in a pretty little village with a windmill 10 mins walk away, what's not to like? We'd be happy to return and also recommend, it's worth seeking out.
What a brilliant place. Sat outside in the shade & ate lovely lunch. Other people had Sunday road & it looked amazing!!
Gluten free options comprehensive, can't fault it
What a great pub this is. A fine selection of ales and cider. Happy cheerful staff who are very attentive. We didn't eat but the food looked very good.
So we shall return and sample the menu.
The Swan Inn, Wilton
A peaceful retreat. Service, food, service & ambiance really very good. Couldn't find a better place to have a Sunday lunch if you tried. Highly recommended... but you will need to book ahead.
Great attention to detail by the friendly staff. Good range of beers and food, reasonably priced. Plenty of gluten free options as standard. G/f bread with Olives & oil starter was very good, as was pulled pork on g/f bun. Sadly, didn't have room for 'pud'.
If I lived nearer, it would be a very regular temptation
Stumbled across The Swan by accident when out for a bike ride and had forgotten our drink bottles. Hadn't been planning on eating out but as a Coeliac I'm always looking at menus to see if they have gluten free options. The Swan has a brilliant variety of GF dishes and as soon as I spoke to some staff members it was clear they understood allergies. So we had lunch there. Very reasonable, very tasty and lovely staff. Other pubs should aspire to be like The Swan!
Meals for 6 people - order taken and food served within 25 minutes on a busy night.
Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
Dog Friendly pub
A great place for a proper Sunday roast (one of the best) including a vegan option. Very good gravity-fed guest ales from the cask as well as regular beers. Very welcoming.
One of the best pub lunches we've had in a long time! Chilli with crispy potato skins was so delicious. And the service was nothing short of perfect 😊 I would recommend stopping here if you're in the area.
Many thanks.
Wonderfully atmospheric gastropub in a beautiful village. Food was tasty & served promptly. Some decent beers to go with it
Happened across this pub on a walk from Great Bedwyn. Despite it being Mothers day Sunday, they found us a table for lunch. The roasts (beef and lamb) were both very good, and reasonably priced. We're planning on returning soon.
Excellent food and service. Recommend that you book as it is very popular
Moved to the area fairly recently and found this absolute beauty of a pub yesterday.
Charming little place with a lovely ambiance, staff were all really polite and helpful.
The food was fantastic, I had the homemade Scotch Egg (WOW 10/10) and the Fish Pie on the special (Delicious) my Son had a stone baked pizza and he loved it, I tried a bit and it was delicious.
Will now be coming back over and over to try the rest of the menu!
Small but perfectly formed local pub, great service and food on offer. Beer list is limited but reasonably priced, dog friendly and gardens to the rear and side.
