Booked in at the clink to celebrate my mum's birthday after reading all the outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor after reading a write up by the MEN. Had a fantastic experience from start to finish and will definitely be returning with the hubby and telling anyone who likes great food to get booking! Dawn looked after us attentively this afternoon, nothing was too much trouble. Prior to us ordering Dawn exchanged a knife because she didn't feel it was polished enough! The service we received from Dawn was excellent and she provided recommendations from the menu because my eyes are too big for my belly and I wanted everything! The food was delicious and portions more than generous, presentation beautiful. The venue is just beautiful! Steeped in history, very comfortable and immaculately kept. The Clink is a wonderful concept and I think the only thing lacking is a slot in the Michelin guide. Thanks Dawn for making our visit so enjoyable.....compliments to the chef also! The fig and gorgonzola tart, hake and cherry trio were delicious! My mum said her meal was the best she ever had and was better than Marco Pierre White restaurant in London! Mum had pigeon, lamb and chocolate with Damson ice cream. Thanks for making my mums birthday so special. X

I was lucky enough to go to clink for my birthday - all I can say is wow!!! From start to finish this was by far the best Sunday roast and the best service I’ve ever had! Beautifully presented food which was equally as tasty! The restaurant is in the most wonderful big old chapel, just stunning! Our waitress was Rachel who was so professional and helpful. She couldn’t do enough for us and made the whole experience even better. What a lovely lady, thank you so much Rachel! We will definitely be returning and I’ve already told so many people to go. Very very happy customers and I had a fabulous birthday treat!

Fine Dining. Everything was fabulous. Rachel was really friendly. The building has been restored very sympathetically and the food is beautifully presented. We went on the recommendation of a foodie friend and were not disappointed. No alcohol but an extensive soft drinks menu. Apparently the menu changes soon so that is an excuse to pay another visit. Thank you ladies

We had been given money a while ago to have a meal out for our Anniversary so we booked Sunday Lunch at the Clink. The food was delicious - I still can't work out how they managed to present a Scotch Egg cut in two with a runny yolk but no mess - it looked beautiful and tasted even better! The main course - roast beef and trimmings was also delicious and the roast potatoes were the best I've had! The staff are all really friendly and the building itself is fascinating. Already planning another visit - afternoon tea next I think!

It was my first visit to the restaurant ,but it won't be my last. The afternoon tea was superb, too many cakes, freshly made sandwiches and endless cups of tea. The converted chapel is beautiful.Everything about The Clink was first class-an excellent rehabilitation project for the ladies who were charming. There should be one attached to every prison.

Just Amazing!!!! Even though I'd only ever heard great reviews about the restaurant, the experience honestly blew me away! The food was absolutely outstanding in all aspects (quality, presentation & taste). Even the Mocktail was perfect. Please pass my thanks on to all the lovely talented ladies who made our afternoon a special one, especially to our waitress Rachel. Looking forward to our next visit for an Afternoon Tea x

We dropped our son at Manchester Airport Wednesday morning and were starving, we looked on trip advisor for somewhere to eat and The Clink came up as recommended. How glad are we that you were open, we had a fabulous breakfast, the food, the surroundings and the staff were all 1st class, absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the never ending pot of freshly brewed coffee was amazing, I even came away with a birthday present for my son. Thankyou for a wonderful experience Wendy. I'd love to come back and try Afternoon Tea x

A memorable lunch at The Clink. The standout dishes being the seabream en papillote and steak bavette. The presentation of the food is incredible. We had fabulous service from Lisa. Lisa was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food. What a fantastic future in hospitality she has, we hope she goes far. It was also wonderful to chat to the restaurant/program manager. Thank you so much for your time, your passion for the initiative and your students is so clear to see and so inspiring. Thank you so much for fitting us in for the a la carte menu when our booking had gone awry. We were so grateful and blown away from the second we walked through the door. We can't wait to return and I urge everyone reading this to make their booking now and not to miss out on a memorable, unique and delicious dining experience.

I'd highly recommend eating at the Clink, the food was great and it was for a good cause. We would visit again if we're in the area. Perfect if you're visiting Quarry Bank. We had a lovely Sunday dinner here, with the lovely veg and roasties. The charred mackeral starter was marvellous, as was the panna cotta. The staff were pleasant, with great service and reasonable prices. Good toilet facilties, including disabled loo. Access ramp in place for wheeled entry, terrain mostly flat with parking located near the entrance

We just couldn't fault it! Such a lovely walm welcome as soon as you walked through the huge church doors. Stunning surroundings and atmosphere. Our lovely waitress was so wonderful. She was knowledge of all the dishes and drinks. Happy to talk about what the place has done to help her through her time at Styal Prison. Also the artwork was amazing. The food was top notch..... so delicious. And the Sunday roast! What can I say, you don't go hungry. Its a must visit. Also full of families too. 5 stars 🌟 Updated visit! Had the afternoon tea. Fabulous 😍 wonderful service as always.

Visited today with my elderly friend who has been desperate to go. We decided on afternoon tea and we really enjoyed it. We were able to take our remaining cakes home (even offered to carry them put by two people!) I could have finished mine off, I was being polite as my friend being in her 80's was full up. we sat at table 22 and this was good as I was more interested in watching the girls cooking, and how the system worked, so it was a great spot to sit at for me. Fabulous service from start to finish! Such a stress free environment too. Food gorgeous! Staff brilliant! Keep up the good work and we wish you all the success that you deserve for your future(s). Thank you 😊

For the prices here I was expecting this place to be one of those that gave you small portions, but I was wrong. The servings of food are definitely not small (but aren't big, just a typical serving of food) and absolutely gorgeous, as are the drinks. The staff were definitely great too, and one gave one of my party a happy birthday song in Welsh too!
