Came in as a group of four for some dinner whilst staying in the Ibis hotel over the road.
We had starters which included chicken tenders, halloumi and garlic mushrooms. For the mains, three of us had the Fish Shop Supper and one had beef & ale pie.
The fish supper was absolutely brilliant! Really large portion and loads of variety too. The scampi was brilliant, although I randomly was given two breaded mushrooms mixed in with my scampi? Lucky I wasn’t allergic!
Overall the food was really good and great value too. Only reason for not giving it five stars was just because our waitress was quite sassy and it felt like a bit of a chore for her when we had to ask for cutlery and sauces etc, and it was quite noticeable that she wasn’t really in the mood to be helping us. On the flip side, the lovely manageress (with red hair) was a joy to speak to, and she sent us on our way at the end of the evening in high spirits!
Would come again if we’re passing through for sure!
Staff we're super friendly and helpful. Carried my drinks to the table for me because I couldn't carry them all in one trip. The carvery staff do an amazing job. It's so hot while they're carving the meat but they always manage to be polite and friendly. The food is always fantastic. Every time. Keep up the great work guys 😁

Sunday seems to be popular and busy day. Reception was very receptive and made space for us immediately. Ordering process was simple. Food was good. Service was a bit slow probably it was busy. Outdoor tables were not clean.
Every farmhouse inn is just a copy and paste. A great system that works. The food variety slightly differs, this one has cheesy mash and broccoli and different style Yorkshire's. So tasty. Perfect on Sunday evening with a pint of moretti
Me and my mum are becoming regulars here! We absolutely love it - we’ve been so many times and never had a bad experience, food is always so so lovely and it’s such good value for money. Best pub food in the area BY FAR! (Halloumi fries are my fave!) Couldn’t recommend more :)
From arrival, Kerry welcomed us and went above and beyond her role to ensure that we had the best experience, nothing was too much trouble for her, even though we could see she was very busy. The food was on point ( carvery), the queue was long, but well worth the wait. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, we will definitely pay another visit, thanks 😊.
Lovely meal, good staff and a fantastic chocolate cake. Make sure that you leave plenty of room. It's massive.

Very nice Sunday afternoon carvery! Good selection of veg and 3 meats.
Highly recommend booking in advance. The que for the bar and carvery was very long, which shows how good it is! I have a physical disability and would possibly ask staff for help with waiting in line next time. Really enjoyed our meal and took cake away for later!
Went to the cherry tree for dinner and what can i say? The food and service was absolutely fantastic. Marina who was the manager on the day made us feel so special and couldnt do enough for us. From start to finish there was a lovely atmosphere.
Great place for a carvery. It gets very very busy so prepare to wait.. It's worth it though. Fantastic friendly, helpful staff that cope very well. 👍🏻
Went out for a carvery and cake away, it was absolutely beautiful, very generous with the meat, yorkies were fresh, crispy, homemade and huge! The cakes are pricey but so so big and worth it, delish😋- easily shareable.

Very good food. With a carvery it's all about when you get there usually. We arrived just after they opened the carvery (12pm).
The food was excellent, it was labeled clearly so you knew what you were getting.
The order process is simple, you pay, get a slip saying the size. If you pay the additional Yorkshire and get the pigs in blanket you get another but of paper saying that.
The serving could have been more efficient. The gentleman carving the meat was also getting the food out to top up the serve yourself dishes. You think that maybe a chef could be doing that to clear the queue quicker. Not a huge issue but it would have cleared us sooner and given the chap a few seconds of not rushing, which could easily lead to an injury over a prolonged period.
Overall would recommend if you time it well. I've had slightly poor experiences in the past if you hit it just as the old stuff is near its end of life and new stuff isn't out. It's unclear if they have a shelf life on the food or if it's just the entire serving period.

This busy carvery made for me an excellent Saturday lunch stop just off the A50. With meat choices of gammon, turkey or beef and sizes Small, Standard or Large everyone was catered for. As usual with a carvery after being served your meat choice you could help yourself to as many vegetables that would fit on your plate, then two choices for gravy plus a range of sauces such as cranberry. I went for a small beef, mash potatoes, 1 roast potato, then small amounts each of green beans, red cabbage, a parsnip, carrots and some cauliflower. The dryish mash was fine when well doused with onion gravy. The carrots were a bit too soft. There is a bar alongside to buy drinks or ask for tap water. Altogether pretty good value though as the small plate was indeed very small I enquired after second helpings of vegetables, but unlike Toby Carvery where veg is on an 'eat as much as you want ' basis, this is not possible here, hence 4 rather than 5 stars for the food though given the reasonable price it would be a bit cheeky to ask, like Oliver Twist, for more. I would certainly visit here another time.
Lovely service from every member of staff.. Nice hot food. (Carvery) Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was quick, efficient and very friendly. Roast Beef was delicious, Yorkshire pudding perfect. 👍🏻
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was good and plentiful. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful and chatty. We appeared to go on a really busy time, but the atmosphere was not rushed or stressful and the staff were brilliant at handling the high volume of custom.
