We didnt eat here but the food others around us had looked very good. It is a lovely location, right on the river with boats going by which was really pretty.

We had walked down from our mooring up by Great Barford Bridge. Easy route although a little squelchy which was to be expected. Took about 30-40 mins. Toilets lovely and clean. Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff and service as I'm gluten free and dairy free. My partner very much enjoyed his latte and our gf brownies. Early grey with milk alternative to be had. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the river and boats as well as the birds and Ozzie. Noticed a dog port which had a barrel offering water to fill dog bowls also supplied. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for a lovely Sunday mooring visit. šŸ˜ƒ

The Terrace was comfortable and warm, although the weather was cold and wet. The menu was broad and there was Sunday roast available. My wife became ill with an unrelated problem and the manager looked after us, providing a wheelchair to get her to our car. She didn't need to go to hospital.

Loved it! Good area to go walking keep in mind that cyclists also use the same walking lane as the pedestrians however it's well sign posted with priority given to walkers. Lots of ducks & swans live here and there is plenty of benches scattered around the walking lane should you chose to take a rest. I loved the views and there's also the added benefit of a coffee shop

Lovely place and staff. Made very welcome by my fellow Watfordians'! Live band either friday or Saturday. A real hidden beauty of a place, cannot fault it.

What a wonderful spot and certainly somewhere Iā€™ll be returning to repeatedly. For some reason Iā€™d imagined there being more activities, especially for children, but instead youā€™re left to your own devices with walks and cycle tracks through the forest and canal area. Not that this is anything to complain about though - itā€™s all signposted well, the tracks are in great condition and thereā€™s lots of space for everyone. The main camp itself is a fantastic retreat though, with seating / tables on the lawn as well as veranda overlooking the canal. Thereā€™s a sizeable food and drink menu which one can order from through an app as well as from the plentiful staff roaming around. The waiting staff are certainly on the inexperienced side, however food is brought in good time and portion size canā€™t be complained about with the prices. The burger was flavoursome and while somewhat basic in presentation was completely satisfying - you come here for the location and relaxing setting primarily. Drinks were perfectly cold upon serving, all the tables were cleans and thereā€™s plenty of toilets on site. This is a wonderful spot in Bedford and even if youā€™re not in the area for cycling or a long walk, itā€™s worth the trip on a nice day.

This is an perfect place to go relax and enjoy nature. Summer lunch in the sunshine by the river. The staff where friendly and accommodating. The food was really yummy and filling and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. This place really is one of Bedfordshires true hidden historical gems. Will 10000% be coming back.

Went for a lovely walk and treated myself to a couple of Strawberry Mojitos. There have been many changes since I went there last. The outside bar is perfect and the ladies behind the counter were really friendly. Lots of additional seating has been added. I really enjoyed myself, would highly recommend if you fancy a drink with stunning surroundings Based my 5 stars upon my drinksšŸ˜Š

We went there for the first time for a wedding and was very impressed with the whole place. Beautiful setting by the river, plenty of room, nice bar and the food was good as was the service from the staff. I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a pretty wedding/birthday celebration venue.

Awesome spot for a drink by the river in the sun, all seating was appropriately spaced and cleansed. Very reasonably priced drinks - surprising considering the prime location. Didn't get chance to try food as we arrived too late, but looks decent enough and again very reasonably priced. My only complaint, the place shut too early; I'd have happily spent another couple of hours buying drinks given the chance. The obviously solution to this is I should have arrived earlier.
