The Wheatsheaf - Willingdon - Photo album

What a place. The interior is cozy, warm and rustic. The staff are absolutely fantastic, very attentive, friendly and know the menu well. The waitress welcomed us in, made us feel comfortable, and recommended we get the homemade steak and ale pie, which I thought sounded a bit dear at £17. However,
Nice atmosphere, good choice of very well cooked / presented food. Reasonably priced Give it a try
First visit and definitely won't be our last ! The food was amazing, my husband had the steak and ale pie and it was FULL of steak he couldn't believe how much was in there. My ham, egg and chips was delicious. The ham was full of flavour and not a string of fat in sight. The staff were friendly and
Best pub lunch I’ve had in ages! Also by far the best staff!! They were all incredibly lovely, especially our main server, I meant to get her name.. a lovely lady with short hair and glasses. They looked after us so well and were attentive and friendly and the food superb!! 🤩
What a difference five years makes!! This time the food was really good and plenty of it. A sharing camembert to start with, gorgeous. Next, the pie, full of real chicken, and the seasonal veg (not peas and carrots as before but carrots, cabbage and tenderstem broccoli) was perfectly cooked. For the

At last a lovely pub and restaurant with quality homemade food. The pie's are yummy and the service was great to. Lovely garden to chill out in. Even better it's close by so no excuse not to try more of the menu. Plus they serve Harvey's, need l say more.
A cracking local pub with friendly staff and a warm welcome. We demolished the hearty fare - delicious and a generous portion size. Great atmosphere and good ales too.
Celebrated a family birthday, 15 of us, staff were absolutely fantastic, food was great, and service was excellent. Lovely pub.
Quick lunch here while meeting a local client, his recommendation. Had the toad in the hole which was very nice. Comfortable surroundings and pleasant staff - recommended
The quintessential village pub. Excellent choice of Sunday roasts (pork belly with superb crackling), Harveys and Long Man real ales and traditional puddings (apple crumble or sticky toffee). Deservedly popular, worth seeking out.
New owners have done wonders with this pub, our Sunday lunch was delicious, well priced and we experienced great service. It's also been beautifully renovated since I was last here (some years ago). Excellent overall!
Really nice, old looking pub. Friendly, helpful staff. An amazing Stake and Ale pie! Well done, chef.
Amazing fish and chips, just amazing. Service was awesome and the staff there were all very attentive. Great place for a lunch break if you are on your way to Seven Sister’s Cliff.
Fantastic pub, food was excellent and service super friendly. Highly recommend!
Great food. Lots of choice on drinks too. Slightly slow service but we could tell they were busy. Really good all around. We will be returning.
We absolutely love this pub, always make you feel welcome. They even remember what we drink! Including local ales, beers and wines. The atmosphere is amazing with the new owners, and it feels like a second home!! The cheesy chips were soooo good dipped in hp sauce YUM!! Don't forget their 2 for £
