Was the first time I visited today. The afternoon tea is to die for and the views are lovely. Would recommend to others and would definitely visit again. Staff were all very friendly and service was great too � xx

A real gem right on our doorstep that we didn’t know was there. We went and had full English breakfast and weren’t disappointed. Very tasty and friendly staff. Would recommend

high service and accommodating for the wake for my father provided tea and coffee and selection of cakes for our party, lovely place. Helped us with setting up a table for photographs and family photos. Mini play area for little ones outside which my 2 year old loves. Returned again for a lovely breakfast

Second time I've been with my wife,had the club sandwich and cappuccinos and where not disappointed with anything,food,drinks and the service from all the staff was excellent.Will be going back again.

Went originally with a family for a wake, staff were polite and respectful of the situation. The food was well presented and tasted wonderful. They couldnt do enough to help, make the time go smoothly.
I went with a patient i was accompanying from my ward. He required disabled access and the staff couldnt do enough to help.
I came back the very next day with my boys. Even though we were a much smaller party the staff did not change the way they treated us. very professional and lovely.

Also...yes it does very fully booked very fast, as with most places, it is always advised to call and book a table. That way you dont have a disappointment and have to leave a mean review because a business is thriving and doing well. :)

Thanks to Wayne & his excellent team for providing a lovely Afternoon Tea for my Mum's 90th birthday. The sandwiches & savouries were delicious & the cakes & scones just yummy! Friendly, efficient staff made for a happy, stress-free afternoon. Highly recommended!

Went to Cheval for the first time yesterday and I was really impressed. The interior is stylish and the staff are very friendly. I ordered Chicken and Mushroom Pie with Fries, Peas and Gravy and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will visit again
Lovely afternoon tea, though I would've preferred a few small sandwich options than one large sandwich.
Our waitress was lovely and very attentive, but it didn't seem fair that she was doing everything (serving, cleaning, checking on customers etc.) and the two younger waitresses did barely anything in the couple hours we was there, including when I asked one of the younger ones to pay and she got me to wait by the till for the older waitress to come over (and didn't even tell her we was waiting).
Visited Cheval Willerby.today have not been out for.months so it seemed very busy. Hygiene precautions and masks the order of the day. Staff service polite and helpful. Parking was satisfactory and disabled parking available. Lunch menu was reasonable I and my wife ,daughter and granddaughter enjoyed our meal.We liked the gift shopping Christmas gifts purchased , food from the deli counter bought on the way as we exited

Good menu for breakfast or lunch. Food nice and good value for money. We visited on a Tuesday and service not amazing. Despite it being busy the staff of three seemed to be taking it in turns to have a lunch break themselves. So as a result we waited a long time between arriving, ordering and food arriving etc. Hopefully just an off day and will try again
Accessible entrance over a threshold my cause minor difficulty if in a wheelchair. This leads to a small shop, then to the Tea Room entrance which opens up into a large dinning area, with view of the countryside. There is also outside seating.
A good array of drinks to choose from both hot, cold and alcoholic.
The menu offers breakfast till 11.30, various options for a full lunch or something light.
We chose omelette and quiche both came with a side salad, with a choice of chips or new potatoes. Enjoyed the omelette but personal preference needed a stronger cheese in the quiche.
Well worth a visit.

Perfect Valentine's Night
Booked a table for my wife and I a couple of weeks before Valentines for the evening meal, at the time we were told depending on numbers booked it may not go ahead but they would confirm - totally understandable as these things need to be financially viable for the business for their survival.
How lucky were we when they rang to confirm it would go ahead! (even though there was only a handful of tables taken)
Ironically we both chose the same food, goes to show we think alike (but be assured we don't go for identical anoraks)
We ordered the Baked Camenbert (is that spelt correct) to start and Steak as main:
The Baked Camenbert, my word how gorgeous was that, a whole Camenbert in its Wooden(?) Box with excellent crusty bread
The Steak, now that's where we differ as my wife likes it rare but for me it's medium or rather so long as no "red juices" flow when I cut into it.
Absolutely Perfect, and such flavour!!!
The Best Steak I've ever tasted and complimented by home made onion rings, wedges and very nice mixed salad.
And this followed by a trio of sweet treats and heart shaped chocolate.
So, for £60 we had a beautiful, candle lit 3 course meal in lovely surroundings cooked to perfection by the kitchen gurus and served by very smart and friendly staff.
Oh and what's more that £60 included a bottle of red wine and a single red rose for the ladies.
Now the downside - I only had 1 glass of the wine as I was driving
If anyone can say it was better elsewhere how wrong they are!!
Looking forward to next Valentines Day already as we know where we'll be!
Called at the Cheval Cafe for lunch today, I had an all day light breakfast, when it arrived at my table it was hot and delicious, and although I chose the light breakfast and there was plenty for me. You could spend a few happy hours in this location there are other places you can visit in this location, the is a beauty Salon a riding school and lots more.
Good COVID procedures in place. Tables spaced out. Orders are placed at the counter and brought to table. Good selection of hot drinks, wines, cakes and light snacks. Gift shop with lots of quality products and a deli counter for take out produce.
Very helpful staff, food looks brilliant, but need to try cafe yet, although bought a pie that's in the freezer but will eat it this week...bought gifts which are gorgeous and well priced. Cant wait to try cafe side when there open .
