Huge bookshop with such a wide range of old and new, with original features remaining from when it was a bank.

What a find! Enormous collection of second hand books at really fair prices. The owner was lovely and even said she would have been happy if we had taken our little dog in there! We found a huge section for the narrow area of interest we were looking for and I had to drag my daughter away after about an hour - not nearly long enough... I have to say that the books were really well selected - second hand but still nice quality relevant books. I really hope shops like this have a future competing against online shopping and that's why I'm writing a review as I like to support local businesses and hope my review will encourage someone else to go along. Thank you to the friendly shop owner if you are reading this!

So many books. All categories very well set out. I couldn't find ones on the subject I wanted, so I asked the staff and they were very helpful.

An absolutely fantastic place. It's like stepping into another world. Many books from multiple eras, fair prices, and very helpful staff. I'm not much of a reader, yet I find myself visiting often.

I am trying to put together a holiday and visit with our friends in Glasgow and visit not only Scotland but Ireland and England. I have friends in England and I have enjoyed my husbands friends in Scotland. We are retired and live on a fixed income. Therefore, we have to watch the American dollar , but truly enjoy our visit.

Good large selection of books including some new local booklets. More extensive than first appears. Friendly.

A perfect, atmospheric bookshop with everything you could look for in books. Also have an extensive collection of sheet music for sale. Joyce and Ian are the delightful, helpful owners.

Visited Wigtown last week this is the best shop in my opinion. Big well presented selection of books many of which are hard to find elsewhere

I can’t get to Wigton for the festival this year! But not to worry with opening hours to allow browsers bibliophiles bookish delights its a whole year experience - I’ll certainly find my way back to the Old Bank Bookshop.

Lovely bookshop, really well organised - sure the fact Joyce was a librarian helps. Nice helpful people.
