I have been visiting the Craft for a few months now and can highly recommend both the food, rooms and the service. Carl and his staff are always good company and more than happy to help you whilst visiting the area with good local knowledge etc.
Living locally it is good to show your visitors what the area has to offer and last night The Craft did that in spadefuls. Great food, friendly crowd, live music and a lovely Uruguayan waitress. Credit to you Carl.
We were visiting from Newcastle for the Easter weekend and visited the pub Friday and Saturday for drinks and Sunday for a meal.. The service was outstanding all occasions .. We had 3 kids and 3 dogs with us and were all
made to feel very welcome and the food on Sunday was delicious .. thank you for great service and food as it's made a great weekend for us all .. we'll be back soon �..

A small hotel in middle of Galloway Scotland - good food, friendly staff, clean rooms with reasonably comfortable beds - a place I´ll definitely keep in mind for future visits!

The owners were amazing and the fact it's dog friendly was even better.
We were able to take the dog with us and she enjoyed not being left alone while we went to dinner.
The food was lovely, both of us had the steak pie and loved it.
Great pub/b&b in the heart of town. Accommodation was simple, clean and comfortable. Food was tasty and very reasonable. A good selection of beers and spirits with live music and a roaring fire the whole weekend. When we arrived the place had just been taken over by new management, a lovely couple who really went out of their way for us. Would definitely come back for another lazy weekend some time.
Called in for a drink after visiting town. My son looked the place up on tripadvisor which had excellent reviews.A charming girl called Abbie served our drinks and we decided to stay and eat there. I was very impressed with drink and food prices. The food quality was excellent. Better than your normal pub grub and presented superbly. 👏
Amazing selection of vegetarian and vegan meals. Great live music most Saturday nights and a lovely local crowd. The town also has a lot to offer, especially if you enjoy reading, but also some good walks.
If you want excellent food which is reasonably priced and served in comfortable surroundings look no further than the Craft. Very friendly staff. Every time I visit the area I make a point of eating and drinking here. Never been disappointed.
Please try supprised by this establishment. We went for dinner. Everything was homemade and our meals were reasonably priced. The service was excellent to. I think you can also stay here. I probably would based on the friendly atmosphere here. Totally enjoyable.
Lovely stay here. Sharon and her team went above and beyond to make sure people have what they want. The food is just amazing, you won't go hungry. Highly recommended and look forward to going back
Staff couldn’t be bettered. Dealt expertly with my gluten intolerance and delivered fantastic quality food. Very dog friendly too..... definitely somewhere we intend to come back to.
Carl and his team at The Craft were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. The ROMs are comfortable, spacious and modern. The menu and beers were the best part of our stay. The Craft has excellent vegan and vegetarian gourmet food options. We'll be back again.
£10 a head for a 2 course pub style meal. Great value and a hearty plateful. Nice selection of local ales and great staff make this friendly pub well worth a visit when in Wigton.

Excellent food and friendly service. Coped admirably with a last minute booking for 9 on a Sunday afternoon. The garlic mushrooms were "amazing".
After a long journey to Wigtown, we enjoyed an excellent meal of baked haddock that included well-prepared side dishes and a starter of wonderful pâté with mushrooms plus fabulous brown bread. Our meal was served by Fearn, who was gracious and helpful, and introduced us to a brand of gin that we will most definitely try again. The room was lovely and the welcoming experience will bring us back.
Had a lovely stay here in September. Very reasonably priced. Nice food and pleasant atmosphere. Sharon and staff made us feel very welcome.
Visiting a friend in the area and took a lucky dip on local pubs in the area, came up top trumps here, food was sumptuous, very well presented and staff are friendly, home made chips and a chocolate fudge cake to die for, excellent
