Another good place to eat and socialise, food is excellent, beer nice and cold, no loud music to annoy you. Great beer garden, especially during the summer months. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good night out. Definitely going back there when I'm in that area
I have eaten in the old crown on several occasions the atmosphere has always been cosy I was worried about changes that may of happened since the recent take over but can happily say the food and drink are as good as ever if not better I highly recommend this quaint country pub a great place to dine inside and out as it dons a huge beer garden that is also suitable for dog lovers and families of all sizes and just to add the beer is also well kept, enjoy
Ian and Kim are fabulous hosts! Food is fantastic with lots of special offers on throughout the week. Lovely big beer garden opening on to beautiful views, and a dog friendly bar! What more could you ask for, can't recommend it enough!
Excellent village pub, good choice of ales, all well kept, and a nice range of bottled beers and wine too. Food is of a high standard, especially their home made soups. Friendly landlord and landlady, and great views from the large beer garden. Worth a visit if you're local, or just passing through.
We went for a Christmas meal on Wednesday evening and the food and service were excellent. There were 7 of us dining and none of us could fault it. Would highly recommend.
Had a family gathering, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The food was hot, tasty and for a big party all served together. Nothing was too much trouble. We had family over from America who were very impressed. Thank you to all at the crown for making a fantastic night with lovely happy family memories for us �

Excellent food and a cordial atmosphere. Regularly have guest beers to supplement their excellent Pedigree ale. The Old Crown has a dog friendly bar and a large field at the rear. Will be returning.

Pie Menu. The new owners have brought in a fantastic pie menu with some really different flavours. I tried the Matador with Beef, Olives Chorizo and sherry. The pastry is very good as well and it comes with really nice mash and gravy. Im sure to be going back to work my way through the menu 8/10

Nice pub. Had a great time at the Halloween event yesterday. It created a perfect family atmosphere and the decorations were out of this world. Staff were friendly and helpful and the owners are mint! ❤️ defo check it out!
Had a delicious pâté starter followed by a generous mixed grill portion of steak, pork, chicken and sausage. Would highly recommend.

Decided to pop in and try out the Sunday lunch and we wasn't disappointed. You had a choice of three meats beef,turkey or chicken. We both decided on the beef it was definitely a great choice. Food came out beautifully presented and was piping hot. The beef was accompanied with roast potatoes, mash, carrots, sweetcorn, carrots , broccoli, Yorkshire pudding,stuffing and homemade gravy. It was delicious. We then decided to have a pudding and again there was a great choice. I opted for the sherry trifle cheesecake and it tasted amazing. Definitely the best choice. All in all it was a beautiful place, great food and we will definitely be returning and recommending you to others. Please pass on to the chef that we enjoyed every bit of the meal. Thanks once again

Just wonderful. We have visited many times in the last 6 months and had our sons Christening reception here. Such a wonderful day. Great drinks, great food and great staff. Couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!
Really nice vibe at this pub. Food was very very good. Great value but quality outweighed the cost massively. Polite, friendly and accommodating staff. My wife has a gluten and dairy intolerance and the menu is broad and varied and staff were very considerate of her needs. Would recommend.
A little gem of a pub, Manager Mike is friendly and the bar staff the same, came in for drinks with family and friends , but after seeing some of the food coming out the kitchen, we will be back to try it ! All looked lovely and presented good enough to eat 😋
