A lovely setting by the Leeds-Liverpool canal on the path towards and near Top-Lock. Food and Ale. Dog friendly.

Come to the kirkless today, and first of all the staff are really friendly and helpful, I ordered the curry and samosas, which again was really nice and was quickly served. Can tell it was homemade too, I also had the waffle which was superb ! Thanks to the lovley lady that served us!

Only called for a drink while walking the dog. It was too early for us, but the Sunday roast smelled lovely. Will definitely try it soon

We've been travelling on the canals from Leicestershire to Chorley and I can honestly say that this has been the most hospitable pub that we've stopped at! Landlady is so welcoming and chatty, a real pleasure to stop here after doing the Wigan Flight 🥵 let's not dwell on that but they gave us a certificate for completing the upward flight and cooked us some lovely (very last minute) food which was very welcome!! Happy to have our dogs there as well so I'd say the best pub all round! 5 star ⭐

What a lovely pub and just what you need after climbing the wigan flight, nice people who will do anything with in reason to make your visit a pleasure, and the food is very much home cooked, give it a go, and dogs are welcome in the sports bar, the complete package

We were a group of 8 friends who hired a boat from Ellerbeck Narrowboats. We arranged to have lunch at Kirklees Hall Inn. We all ordered the curry which was served with rice and naan bread. I ordered a veg curry and it was the best I have tasted for a long while. Everything was freshly made and it was fabulous. This place is a gem and the owners were lovely. I presume it will get busier when the locks reopen. We will definitely return and maybe try the Sunday lunch.

A great canal side pub. A little quiet due to weather, time of year, and current limited usage times on the locks. Landlady/staff very friendly and welcoming. Food menu is limited, but excellent and amazing value. If anything it is under priced. We will definitely be back! 😎

We had a great afternoon at The Kirkless Hall Inn today. We arrived at 11.00am and asked David who managing the shop next door if we could park in the car park while we walked the canal to Standish Lower ground, 5 miles. No problem he said. We got a taxi back after the walk and had a couple of beers and some samosas and onion bahjis, the service was spectacular and everyone was very welcoming. Thank you.
