Love this pub the lady who waited on last night was very friendly and extremely pleasant all the staff were 2 be fair,the food was as good as always great portion size, changed the menu from last time still a good choice but not much as for vegetarian but wouldn't put us off going back, overall a great place 2 eat & drink.
Lovely stay. Beautiful Family room. Lovely welcome and wonderful staff. We all enjoyed the food, lots of choice. Breakfast was great too. Staff even escorted us under an umbrella to our room during a big downpour of rain! Couldn't ask for more! Thank you for an enjoyable last night of our holiday.

Popped in here for a quick pint atmosphere, and service was nice and friendly. The beer selection was good and not bad price either, Nice cask ales, the food looked and smelt lovely, might pop back in for some food next time passing.
My partner and I stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was lovely and well priced. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and we had everything we needed. Ample of parking spaces, there are also some goats at the back of the property. Lovely little getaway. Thank you 😊
We were greeted by a very friendly and polite member of staff and seated immediately. She made us feel very welcome and explained the system of ordering.
We ordered our main course dishes which were served quickly and piping hot - the food was lovely. The server checked that everything was ok in a very polite manner. We were looked after very well.
We ordered sweets but unfortunately the two that we wanted were not available - we chose alternatives which were delicious and perfectly acceptable alternatives. Again these were served very quickly.
We found the whole experience really good and we will definitely be going back and recommending to our friends and family.

Lovely pub in a lovely location, the staff were excellent and warm and the food is really good. I Thoroughly enjoyed the daily meal deal offers particularly the sirloin and chips meal. I would certainly visit again whenever I am in the area

We popped up for a roast dinner. We are vegetarian and asked Shaun what would he recommend. I had the cauliflower cheese pie and veg. Wow! Delicious! So much so that we are coming back next week. Friendly service. Great atmosphere.
Stopped off for lunch after a canal side walk and was not disappointed. Cannot fault our hosts Sean and Sophie who were very attentive. Good quality traditional pub food for a reasonable price, would recommend!
We feel really at home when we visit The Red Lion. We travel 12 miles from home after work to come on a Thursday to the famous Pub Quiz every week. We enjoy time with friends, a great fun quiz, fantastic staff who welcome us, remember the small things that are a little bit special like our drink preferences, our dogs names, how we got on the week before with sometimes we were chatting about. We love that it's a dog friendly place and inclusive of all walks of life.
We especially love Nichola's amazing hosting skills and laughs during the games giving us the hype to win big and be a chancer with the buzzer round. Katrina goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and the whole team are great.
Always a night very much enjoyed after a tough week in work that keeps us coming back to our pub tea and the quiz on a Thursday. We are already booked on for our Christmas get together and looking forward to it.
It’s a lovely pub within the village , I’ve lived here for 4 years but never visited before , the staff were REALY warning and polite , the food looked lovely even though we didn’t eat that particular night , I’m sure we will be visiting again soon
Lovely table reserved for our booking, no wait. Very helpful pleasant greeting on arrival. Food was absolutely lovely and served nice and hot. Staff came to ask if our food was ok. Lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed our dining experience.
