Cannot believe the Berkeley is closing to become a gin bar it's an absolute disgrace it's the best pub in Wigan and this opinion is shared by many others. Good luck to Cliff, Shirley and all the bar staff.
I was at The Berkeley yesterday for the England vs Panama game in the World Cup. The atmosphere was fantastic. Lots of upgraded TVs / Screens for the football. Great selection of beers and fantastic sun trap and the front. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Wigan.
It's a joke that this pub is being closed. Great staff, well run, loads of screens for sport. Days before Champions League final, weeks before world cup. The owners will lose money hand over fist. Even the Gin drinkers I know think this is ridiculous, plenty other bars they can go in for that but no other sports bars on town.

Good atmosphere good beer and prices and also love 80's music it's the place to be at the weekend...
It's a good pub very popular with the older generation in the afternoon. Service is always good and everyone praises the regular staff. Prices very reasonable compared to others close by. Toilets always clean. A seat near the French windows is good for people watching and believe me that in Wigan there are some sights. Minus one star as not dog friendly. If a dog causes a problem ask them to leave. Let the friendly ones in. 😃
I love the Monday club from 4pm friendly staff not expensive come along try it x
Good pub, close to wallgate station, which is across the road, a large interior offers plenty of space to enjoy a drink. 4 ales on offer.
The Berkeley is spot on. 😉👌Theakstons Mild is great at a great price. But what makes the whole experience is wonderful Tracy👍👍 who serves with a smile,is never still. A credit to the pub.
The nights at the Berkeley are fantastic and the dj is brilliant at karaoke 🎤 nearly every night I recommend this place for very good entertainment for the whole family and friends alike its the place to be from Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday nights well worth a vist good atmosphere with the locals in Wigan,? Saturday night, busy but still got served quite quickly, DJ playing music we all liked. No youngsters in there causing drama, good night.
