Had a lovely meal here tonight with my family. The food we ordered was lovely, hot and reasonably priced. My sons chicken burger was slightly undercooked but was quickly replaced with a freshly cooked one. When ordering an ice cream for my grandson, the lady serving said it would be free because of the burger being replaced. They brought out such a lovely big ice cream with fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce.
Overall we had a really lovely meal with outstanding customer service.

Deserves more than just 5*. We went yesterday for my son's 13th birthday. When we arrived I wasn't comfortable with the table we were allocated We spoke to a member of staff and asked if we could go to a quieter area without hesitation the lady was quick to assist me. Once settled at our new table we ordered our meals the server was excellent and patient with me. Food came out at a reasonable time. There was a minor mix up and I did have to return mine I was just expecting one piece of meat to be replaced but instead my whole meal got replaced. Such friendly staff I'm so glad I returned after an 8 year gap. Venture you have such amazing staff! The food was amazing my children ate everything and they normally don't. Cannot wait to return again. Keep grilling you are all fantastic.

Stopped in here for some lunch after visiting the Summer Fair just down the road.
The service was impeccable from all staff, including the (I think) manageress who stopped her own lunch twice to check if I was okay when queued up at the bar.
A glass of coke I ordered was end of the barrel, quickly swapped out as soon as I mentioned it and new drink provided straight away.
The food is what you would expect from a chain, not the worst but not the best yet I would still 100% come again if I was ever in the area for the service alone.
Food and service are great and reasonably priced. Usually quite busy and not the biggest of places and can feel a bit squeezed in next to people. Overall a good place to go aslong as you book a table.

Eat outside review!
So booked a table for the family to go and eat outside on the fairly large decking. Ordered through the app for food and drinks. Very quick with the drinks and the food was very reasonable wait time. Service from staff was great. Food was excellent, some dishes have the ceramic type plates that keep the food hot which was great seeing as it was a tad chilly outside. Plenty of choice available and all food was fresh and cooked well as you'd expect. Pictures include my meal which was the mixed grill all items cooked very well as in good, Thoroughly enjoyed it they've not lost their touch not being open. Good selection of drinks and desserts available too. The hot fudge cake was proper cake and definitely served hot which is also great portion size very good too. If eating need to track and trace which is fine. And also book ahead not sure if it's mandatory but definitely advisable. All tables have a parasol but no large covering so just bear that in mind. Overall well worth going and great to be able to eat out again. Thanks for the hard work in reopening efficiently and safely!!
First time here & will definitely make it a regular thing. ALL staff courteous & friendly, nothing too much trouble. Food perfect really enjoyed ourselves.
One of the better Flaming Grill pubs and a favourite of ours when we're up in Wigan. Great value food, large portions, decent quality.
Pleasantly surprised finding this gem, although quite this Saturday afternoon, the atmosphere was jolly, great choice of food at reasonable prices, I had a sharing platter and it was delicious, the hamburgers look delicious.
Great place for watching sport, having a couple drinks and playing some pool.

Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised at how warm and welcoming the staff were and very accommodating,they welcome dogs and choices of food was a good variety and offers were great,I and my partner had the BOGNF offer on the burgers which were just the right amount for a lunch time meal over all would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going again pretty soon.
The food at the venture is very good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming you to this lovely pub in Wigan the food is excellent ill be going again sometime probably near Christmas 🤶 I recommend this place for good friends and family members for small or big party customers that will come back time after time,! Very busy, we were a table of 7, staff were great and from the start were informed there would be a wait for our main courses which didn't matter as we were having starters anyway. All meals were plentiful and tasty, every one enjoyed and it's very reasonably priced.
Fabulous lunch, food was hot, drinks nice and chilled. Staff and friendly and very helpful.
I love everything about this place. From the great selection of drinks to the friendly bar staff and the pretty girls that I'm a bit too shy to talk to hehe. I come here without fail every Sunday for my chicken platter and pub quiz thanks to Colin for putting on a great event. Unlike simple minds I'm here every week, even if it's a couple of days before pay day my last £2 is going straight on that bingo ticket. One day I'll win that jackpot and finally be able to quit my job and buy myself a Tesla. Instead of pretending when I park next to the electric charging points hehehe. Thanks Venture

Been to The Venture a few times. It’s always a very busy popular pub. The staff have always been friendly, despite being under constant pressure! The pub now has a fully vegan menu, and offers vegan fish and chips! And quite good it is too! It’s really positive that a large chain like this is taking issues seriously. The pub offers a regular quiz nite, as well as the usual Sunday Roasts. Quiet it is not! It’s a busy and vibrant local pub.
