Had the best dining experience imaginable at Summat To Ate this week! The food served on the hotrock was to die for & the staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining how to use it! It made the night so much more fun!
They've also got a couple of function rooms you can hire so I'm going back this week to book one for my birthday party! Can't wait!
Visited here several times since it opened whilst in the area.
The food is always top notch and staff always helpful. Even remembering me several months after my last visit which was a nice touch.
My go to restaurant when in the area and occasionally making a detour for the lunch menu.
Visited last week after several recommendations from friends. Cannot believe I have tried it sooner. The hot rocks were great fun and the steak was lovely.
The lady who served us was also lovely (forget her name... sorry lady). Very tentative and couldn't do enough for us despite the restaurant being full.
Overall great night here and will be visiting again soon.
Fantastic food, fantastic prices, amazing staff! I could not recommend this place enough. I had the hot rock experience, as did the majority of our party, a new concept for me but loved it.
Highly recommend you pay them a visit.

This Place Rocks!. Been here 3 times, each time as part of a large family party.
Every visit has been excellent - food great, service good, menu had good selection - a real novelty meal, steaks on a hot rock, which all age groups (age 11 up to 55) loved. The staff were very accommodating for our large party and were happy to provide plates and forks for our own birthday cake.
We will definately visit again and we would also recommend it. We were only disappointed once and that was when we phoned to book a table only to find they were full that evening!

Great Food, Great Prices, Great Service. Too many things are good about this place. It certainly doesn't get the credit it deserves, if you haven't been, get down there and give it a try!!
Brilliant Food. This place is fab! The food is excellent quality and the staff were attentive and friendly. I had a mini lamb hot pot for my starter and it was lovely, just a perfect size. My boyfriend had the scallops. My boyfriend had a steak on the hot rock and he loved the idea of the hot rock! I had the pork steak which was delicious, the sauce was yummy! Will definately return, and midweek they do a special offer of 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £15.95 - you cant beat that!!

What an unusual experience. I've not been here before but loved the hot stone steaks. My family all prefer our steaks cooked differently, and this was the perfect fun solution. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and helpful. We'll definitely be going back.
I have ate here countless times and every time, the food is always outstanding. The amazing presentation and wonderful flavours of all the dishes make summat to ate a go to place for special occasions. The service is always fast & friendly too. I usually go during the week when the ‘mid-week’ deal is on, which is a bargain for the quality of food you receive!
Booked a table of 8 for my daughter's 21st birthday. We had to pre order the food and pay a £10 per head deposit which is fair enough. The food was amazing , beautifully presented and all served at the same time. The staff were friendly and very helpful, we had taken a birthday cake which they fetched out with candles on and gave us plates . The tables we were given were a little cramped , a round and a square one pushed together, which meant two of us were sat with our backs slightly to the rest of our family. There was music on in the restaurant which made the atmosphere quite loud , especially as it was packed with people aswell. Overall a fab night and we'll definitely be visiting again.
Last minute booking after seeing the midweek offer. All had the hot rock 6oz steak. Not disappointed!! Really nice piece of steak, nicely cooked chips!
Everything was lovely, decoration very simple, clocks all at similar time (hence the name) and tables pristine and shiny, but not much art work on the walls. Food absolutely delicious, no complaints!!! Great value for money for the quality and service. Would recommend and would go again!! 👌

Our favourite week night and anytime go to! Staff are always fantastic, Kai is so attentive and friendly. Food, well the flavours for simple dishes are out of this world ! Recently had the Christmas dinner and I’d say it’s one of the best I’ve EVER had !!
Wow wow wow. Again another amazing meal. Sunday dinner is a right of passage at many restaurants and Kai and the whole team have created the best Sunday lunch in the North. Possibly the UK
We have eaten Sunday dinner everywhere but nothing has topped this. The staff are brilliant and the chef wowed us again

Update July 3rd: the midweek special is real deal. A no brainer. Save the time cooking and faffing with pots and not sure what you want for tea. Hot stone Steak and chips and other dishes, including a drink ... £10..... why are you still thinking about it, get it booked
Food was amazing, even though restaurant was at full capacity the service was great. Price was fantastic too.

A little gem of a restaurant, super food, can highly recommend the steaks. My family all had different steaks, cooked differently, and all cooked to perfection which is quite the rarity. Definitely worth a visit if you are a meat eater. Great set up too :)
What can I say.. we had our wedding day here 01.09.2023 and it was absoulty perfect from start to finish. From the initial planning meeting to the last dance. All the staff were so attentive and nothing was too much. All our guest complemented how amazing the food is and some planned to revisit in the future. Me and my husband can not thank everyone enough. 100% recommend having your full wedding reception here.

We haven't eaten here in ages due to work commitments, then saw Sunday Dinner advertised on Facebook, and it looked lovely. Arrived at 7.30pm, had 3 Courses, I had the Prawns, which were amazing and hubby had Black Pudding to start. His portion was massive! I didn't manage to get a taste of his as it had gone when I looked up!! We both opted for the roast beef dinner, and I am not normally a lover of a roast but OMG it was amazing, massive Yorkshires, all my favourite veg inc carrots, parsnips, cabbage, broccoli and roasties, and the gravy was rich and tasty. It did not disappoint. I then opted for the passion fruit pavlova, and hubby went for the cheesecake - again really good 'proper' portions, so unbelievably tasty. We went home happy and full to the brim!! can't wait to go again now, my taste buds are ready!
My only reservation would be don't book 7.30pm unless you are a quick eater as we hadn't realised they shut at 9pm and the staff were busy clearing away and we hadn't finished, so was a bit noisy, also when paying by card, I don't think it is right that the waitress asks how much you want to pay gratuitous, they should hand you the device and you choose. Other than that the place was spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Absolutely amazing meal tonight. Two T-bones, duck and a mix of starters for four and everything was spot on. After a really disappointing outing at the pretentious Ewe recently we went back to an old haunt for one of the kids birthdays and weren’t disappointed. Great service, great presentation and cooked perfectly. Nothing more to say other than this place and the Cherry tree are leading the way for me for a simple bloke from Howfen.

Took misses here on valentines for a steak on hot stone, lovely. Great service , food 1st class ,reasonable priced for the quality fantastic meal.
