If you want excellent food, beautiful setting and a first class service then the Maplewood is definitely the place to go! The place is spotlessly clean, decor is stately and staff are wonderful! I can personally recommend this place - absolutely first class!

Returning to this restaurant after many years, I was very pleased to see that standards have been maintained. Excellent service and a great choice of chinese food. Very popular, so you must book in advance. Large round tables with 'lazy susans' available for banquet meals popular with groups / parties. Very good starter sharing options and banquet meals. Recommend the sizzling beef satay main and a bottle of the Amarone. Desserts are available, standard fayre for this type of establishment, but are of good quality. The best Chinese restaurant in the area by a country mile.

Food was exceptional. We had the Banquet A option and were already stuffed before our mains arrived. We will be visiting again.
Food is excellent here, though a little pricey, but well worth a visit. However, the tables are a little too close together for comfort and last time I came with my husband and two teenagers, we booked the table for 6pm, when it was packed with families and small children. We had a family next to us who were loud and their children were playing on mini computers and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I think there should be a separate seating area for people with no young children to enjoy their meal or a later sitting that allows over 12's only. Will book to eat here at a later time next time if we're able to have a table away from young families.
Recently visited this beautiful restaurant for my mother in laws 60th, food was amazing and staff were just so lovely. Will 100% all be going again

Just the most delicious Chinese Resturant ever. Food so fresh and tasty, staff are so attentive and professional. Don’t have to wait for anything. The price is great too. You have to try it.
