My wife and I had a delightful visit to The Crown Inn. The convenience of a well-kept carpark and complimentary WiFi added to the pleasant experience. The outdoor beer garden was a highlight, offering a nicely landscaped area with ample seating and charming greenery. The ambient music, whether indoors or out, was just right.Stepping inside, the pub exuded a cosy and tidy atmosphere. The decor, featuring artificial plants, an old-fashioned bar, and a fireplace, was a lovely touch. The spaciousness inside was unexpected but appreciated. The service was friendly and efficient, with prompt attention from the waitress for both drinks and food orders. The presentation of the food was appealing, and the wait was reasonable. The portions served were generous to the point that dessert might be a challenge. The menu had a commendable variety, matching the delightful drink options. The atmosphere was calming, and the staff handled a busy afternoon admirably. Even the gentleman at the bar, during the payment process, showed genuine interest in our experience. My wife and I would recommend The Crown Inn for a satisfying outing, where the details are well taken care of.

Dropped in for lunch, never been before, the food was excellent, we had the steak and mushroom baguette with home made chips, food was absolutely beautiful, freshly made to order. The garden was lovely, calm and quiet, despite having quite a few other diners. The service was prompt and very pleasant staff. It might have been our first visit but it definitely won't be our last. Good fresh food, well cooked no microwave overprocessed food here, a proper delight.

If you go for a meal, which I highly recommend, call them and book first because this place does amazing food and is usually pretty full. Great food, clean environment, friendly, polite and accommodating staff who really made certain customers were happy with the food, absolutely great experience, I will definitely be visiting again!

Thanks Joe and the team - we each had a delicious meal 😊. My brother and his wife were up from Paignton and were very impressed. Think might try the Smokin Joe O'Neill meal next time!! See you next time Janet and Dennis

Mum has been telling me to go to the crown for years. I'm glad I did. The food was amazing. Mum said best steak pie she ever had and I have to agree. You won't be disappointed 😃

Decided didn't want to cook and hadn't been The Crown for ages so rang up as a speculative for a table last minute, it was a very well spent last minute. Son ordered the Nachos with Chilli for starters, very generous portion and made up that he didn't want to spoil his main 😋. The Chicken Balti from the chef's special menu was perfect, literally could have been sat in an Indian restaurant!!! Large portion, lots of big chicken pieces came with all the trimmings too, also had the chicken and mushroom pasta, again generous portion loads of chicken and full of flavour. All in all really nice meal in relaxed surroundings, considering the times we are in the team at The Crown are doing a great job. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Met up with schoolfriends for catch up on a Sunday. Friends both had Sunday roast which was spectacular and HUGE i opted for Steak and Ale pie which was also huge but have to say congratulations to the chef. Chips were lovely but the pie was superb. I would go again as although meals were each £15 approx before drinks the portions and the quick, attentive service made it worth that bit extra. Would recommend for those with big appetites especially :) well done Crown

Stopped by for a pre-match Sunday lunch. Geared towards dining with a small area set aside for drinkers. Nice cosy space despite being one large room. Well broken up and nicely cluttered with odds and ends. A very good Sunday roast - all well-cooked and a hefty portion. A marvellous pint of Strawberry Fields 'Pink Boots and Sunflowers' ale. Looks like a decent beer garden out the back. Efficient friendly service. Hard to fault.

Was invited to a 50th birthday celebration, was surprised how good the food was and the generous portions. A pleasant evening with good booze, company and food.

Always been the best Chippy to go to in town. Friendly quick service and at certain times of the day the upstairs is open where you can sit and eat.

Beautiful pub with fantastic food (lots of choice for vegetarians) and friendly, attentive service, would definitely recommend. We sat inside but the beautiful beer garden looked like it would be a great place to spend the evening when it's a bit warmer.
