My family and I came in for a lovely meal last night, we were blown away at how beautiful the food was. Menu was to everyone’s liking (which is rare!) and they were kind enough to make a few changes to a dish so my boyfriend could still enjoy a steak! We’ve never thought about coming to the 5 Bells before but it will definitely be something we enjoy more regularly now! Can’t wait to go back already, many thanks to the staff who were quick, kind and very friendly throughout :)
Great location, such a beautiful thatched property. Room was beautiful we stayed in room 1. Great value for money. Staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Owner and family just lovely. Great food, especially the full english breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again if in the area.

An easy drive from the M4, very efficient and friendly staff and landlord, good knowledge of thier cooked to order menu, managed my Garlic, gluten and dairy free needs seamlessly. Reasonably priced for what you get, portions hearty and filling. Biggest bowl of excellent gluten free fries ever. Happy to adjust the order to suit too. Lovely interior too. All in all a fantastic place.
Smart olde worlde pub served by its own fine brewery. Friendly competent staff who were more than happy to welcome our dog. Seems food orientated but with no light lunch options other than the starters, but they were fine about us choosing a couple of those with a portion of the most excellent chunky Chips. Just the job.
Sunday roast is best around west berks in my opinion, beef is perfect served medium rare, crispy potatoes, fresh veg, great desserts and drinks, 5* rating from the family.
Just dropped in for food as passing. What a fantastic pub and great setting. Staff were excellent very friendly and welcoming. Food was great had a burger wow stunning. Well done to all staff.
Brilliant overnight stay at The Five Bells. Food was the high point. Homemade, tasty and big portions for the price. The venison raging was lovely.
I have stayed here quite a few times now and not once have I been disappointed. The rooms are always spotless and comfortable. The coffee machine in the hall with individual bottles of fresh milk numbered by room is such a treat. The food is never a let down, always so tasty and fresh. Josh and the team always deliver. This is absolutely my go to for accommodation in the area even if it means driving past other cheaper or nearer places the 5 Bells will always get my custom. Looking forward to my next stay.
Just popped in for lunch. Fantastic beef and ale suet pie served with some lovely ale in a great setting.
Just had our first meal here enroute to Gatwick. Brilliant top quality food and our server Joe was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back despite the distance

Oh my, what can I say...stunning food. The chef has an eye for making the dish look edible, I could almost eat the plate. So pleased we turned around.

The food was fantastic, with an excellent dietary selection - highly recommend the banana blossom and the Blondie!! And an wonderful selection of beer and cider on tap.
However, the service was what really made the place! They were attentive, but more than that they were funny, and added a brilliant vibe to the atmosphere. Can't recommend this place enough!
First visit. Friendly welcome on arrival. Great selection of drinks on tap from small breweries. Food was flavourful and fresh. Particularly enjoyed the generous portion of delicious apple and pear oat crumble. Menu had just the right number of choices. Will go again.
