Visited last night for father in law’s birthday. Was seated quickly by young server called Sam(who was very attentive and helpful and professional in spite of lack of staff). Was advised of a wait for the food but to be honest, didn’t feel like we was waiting long and it suited us as we didn’t feel rushed that way. Ordered the pepperoni calzone which was really nice. Love the fact we could as much salad and/or chips as we liked. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back
Absolutely anazing food amazing value never been to a pub with such good food atmosphere also great will definitely be coming again even though. It's two and a half hours journey from where we live definitely worth the journey back there
First time here and was wasn't quite sure how it worked. A lady showed us to a booked table and gave us a second choice as it was too close to a air conditioning unit. I didn't get chance to chat to her , she just disappeared and we was left not knowing if it was waitress service as there was uniformed staff walking around. Eventually we gave up and went to the bar and was told we order at the bar. Once that was sorted the rest was great. The chef was very polite and helpful and even said she would bring fresh Yorkshire puddings to the table. Great atmosphere with both families ( very well behaved) and your couples and groups alike. Food was a good quality for 8 pm and was even offered a bowl of roast potatoes on the table later on. A good selection of drinks with some great meal deals we will definitely be coming back.
Came to The Darby Digger today with my husband for carvery.
What a different place to what is was a few years ago. The changes have made this a lovely family friendly place to eat. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were greeted by Frankie and were allowed to pick our own seat which was nice. The carvery looked amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection and the potatoes, mash and stuffing were delicious.
We will definitely be back.

Just had a lovely carvery at the Darby Digger. The food was excellent. We were served by Mitchell and Sam they have brilliant personalities, excellent customer services and were very professional and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend the place. Friendly, attentive staff. Lovely food, good quality food. Our group had a mix of Carvery and Pizza. Carvery was kept well replenished and hot. Great selection of meals to suit everyone. Will definitely be returning.

This evening I had John Smiths perfectly served up by Amy and Mitchell.
Thanks to the chefs for the 'free crunchy spuds', will go well with my bangers tonight for dinner.

It was so good, we celebrated my birthday there. Staff up and beyond to make it a great experience. For example the lovely bar lady made a happy birthday message on the wooden board for me. Unfortunately I don't know her name. But she is so lovely.

Food has not changed much. Meats are nice but veg was hard but willing to change for us. Frozen Yorkshire puddings but overall a good meal. Staff friendly and helpful. Ice cream lovely
Great place. Lovely food and the restaurant accommodated our group, giving us a section that was solely for ourselves, which was a massive help, given there were 5 kids able to be free.
Love Sundays at the Darby Digger. Excellent service from Grace and the front of house. Chef spot on as usual, knows how to do a great Carvery. Couldn’t recommend it more, but don’t forget to book as always busy onSundays.
Came in for lunch today with my mum, sister and little girl and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal as we always do! Service was also really good and everyone is so lovely. We will definitely be back again and again. Thankyou!

Been a regular at the Darby digger for years. I find the customer service is outstanding. So many wonderful people behind the bar. Especially Frankie. Keep up the good work
All the staff so welcoming and helpful across the board . From greeting & shown to the table to the chef & bar staff couldn’t fault at all. Food was delicious and definitely will return. Politeness & smiling friendly staff go a long way in my book .
The young lady who seated us, fully explained everything we need to know, was exceptionally polite and friendly.
The carvery was excellent, my grandchildren both ate all the food, which doesn't often happen.
We are regulars at the darby, we took our daughter the other day and as always had great service. Food was great as always and we had a new Member of staff serve us called Elle, she was lovely and friendly, great with our daughter too.
Had a marvellous roast beef lunch, the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft inside and was lovely to see bubble & squeak along with a good variety of vegetables.
Came in today with my dad for a quick drink and something to eat. Abbie and Amy was amazing. Very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us
