Is this for real????
Have driven past the Bekash on many occasions and as it is set back from the road a bit you get no real idea of how nice this place is. Parked up and walked in and the inside was like walking into another world!!!
The seating area was beautifully laid out and the staff were very welcoming.
I chose the chicken methi hari (I always order a chicken tikka dhansak for a takeaway) and when this turned up it was the best Indian meal I had tasted for a long time.
The other great thing about the Bekash is that if you over order they will pack it up and you can take it home!!
Will definitely be returning there again soon!!
Went Saturday night with friends. Amazing food and service. Been going 20 years never a bad meal. Meat samosas and Tandoori king prawns are the best. π
My folks had just come down from India, and during our stay at Battlesbridge, we were searching for a good Indian lunch place. The nearest we could find, which was actually open at lunch time, was The Bekash Restaurant at Basildon. So we decided to give it a shot - and we were not disappointed at all!
Right from the time we entered the restaurant we were made to feel at home by the staff who made sure we were comfortable (considering we had 2 senior citizens and an infant). The wait time from placing the order to getting the food was about 20 mins, and every minute was worth the wait, as we got exactly what we wanted - good Indian food but with minimal spice levels so that it suits our stomachs on a vacation.
Add to that the convenient location, their sweet gesture of offering us some complimentary mint chocolates to round off a hearty meal, and of course their warm smiles - will ensure that we will surely come back again. Highly recommended to everyone in Basildon and Wickford area.

When placing the order they were very attentive and made recommendations - the chicken tikka starter was the best I've tried!
The food came in no more than 10 minutes and I left with lots of friendly farewells and smiles.
The meal that I had was beautiful! Thank you so much to the team I will be back again for sure π

First visit for a good few years. Service and food great. Just ask you guys to clean your blind slates around the conservatory. Dust and flys not a great look

Local curry house, usually a very good curry. Never had a bad meal, and service has always been very good.
Lovely service. Abdul is very attentive. He has such a good sense of humour. We usually stay late and the lovely staff always accommodate us without any fuss. The food is very good. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend The Bekash.
It's a fine Indian restaurant serving the full range of choices you would expect. The restaurant is light and spacious.
