Excellent chef .... all meals cooked fresh and to perfection.
It was steak night and good value two steaks and an excellent Chilean merlot for £30.

Ate here on a Monday night, and it was brilliant. The staff were quick to get our orders once we'd decided what to have. This included them bringing our drinks through also.
We went for starters and main.
The Onion bhaji was the absolute best I've ever tasted - and a decent size too.
We all chose different dishes - and when it all arrived - we could have done with a bigger table!
The mixed grill was amazing - and so tender . You could choose a different sauce with the biryani (we still had the vegetable)
Really good food - which was so tasty!
Highly recommend, and we will definitely be coming back to try other dishes!

First time here tonight. Food and service were excellent. As we were eating early we were the only ones in the restaurant so not a lot of atmosphere. Food choices are good and Food is served piping hot on hot plates. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be returning soon
I had a really nice meal at the railway with my son, nice friendly staff and a good atmosphere in the restaurant. we had the chicken yum yum and it was really good. A very pleasant evening thank you.

Me and my partner decided to give The Railway a go after hearing great things about the food from family and friends. We weren't disappointed.
The menu is small and focused, which we loved. To start we had the chicken tikka, sheekh kebab and onion bhaji. Served within 20 minutes of placing our order, everything was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and the onion bhaji was one of the best we've ever had.
For our mains we had the lamb LKK and the goat curry (I've forgotten the exact name on the menu). Both were fantastic, very generous portions and again, beautifully cooked and tasted super fresh.
The service was impeccable too.
I must say, for the money, this is definitely up there in terms of quality and is in the running for the best Indian/Nepalese food in Peterborough and the surrounding area.
For reference, me and my partner had 3x starters, 2x main dishes, 2x rice dishes, 2x pints of beer and 2x glasses of wine. The bill came to less than £70 which is an absolute bargain these days.
If you're thinking of trying this place out, do it. You won't be disappointed!
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The food was absolutely delicious, service wonderful and atmosphere was buzzing. Every plate of food to come out of the kitchen looked delicious and judging by the clean plates all around being taken back they were! Cant wait to go back to try more off the menu 😍

The pub had been shut for a while but has just reopened with a new look and an impressive new menu, mainly Indian food.
Have to say we were really impressed both with the prices of the food and also the quality. And again with the friendliness of the staff!
I had a veg masala, mushroom rice and what was probably the best peshwari nan I've ever had for a grand total of £13.75.
The place was busy too and I really hope it stays that way for them as it is something different in our town and it's well deserved.
Visited the Railway Inn for the first today as a family of 4 and I can't rate the experience highly enough! The food was exquisite and with such a great choice of Indian dishes! The staff were also very welcoming and attentive too. We will definitely be returning more than once!

My kind of pub grub!! I popped in definitely on a budget and got 2 pints of Moretti, lentil soup and chilli garlic mushrooms for under £20! The lentil soup was lovely and light and the mushrooms were banging, a good portion with tomatoes, onions, and chives. I’m not even vegetarian but thought how happy they would be to come to this Nepalese pub so close to the railway. And the staff and local crowd were lovely as well. Thanks for making a terrible not so good day much better!
Bit of a gem of a find really! Really lovely food, can't fault the friendliness or attentiveness of the staff and the place was thriving. A really good night out 🙂
Time for me to write a review although I work there in the bar no time for sampling the food as always busy but on my day off my husband and I had a meal and wow !!
he likes very spicy but I don’t he ordered for a starter garlic chili mushroom and I had crispy squid great choice
Mains well I went for Everest king prawn wow love seafood he had a lamb dish made to his specifications and a naan bread between us as portion size massive
All I can say was meal was fantastic xx
Never been here before but the atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff were great and made us feel at home. We didn't try the food this time but will certainly do so another time. There's a great selection of Nepalese & English food, vegetarian/ vegan and regular.
Travelled 20 miles to try The Railway and was not disappointed. Although busy, service was swift and attentive. Food was superb, tasty, hot and goòd sized portions. Will be back soon.

Mainly Indian food which is why we made a point going.
Great food, great prices and very very friendly staff and the chef also takes the time to come out to check on his diners,which to me, is a great way of engaging with potential regulars.
Every dish was full of flavour
and didn't dissapoint.

I recently visited this pub and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Absolutely amazing foods and drinks were also top-notch. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back again soon!
Went on a cold Friday evening. It was busy in there but our food came out in a timely manner and the service was very attentive. The highlight though was the food! It was delicious 🤤 we had a madras, a llk curry, a pilau rice, garlic naan and cheese naan. It was warming, filling and one of my favourite curries I’ve ever had. We will definitely go back!! Thoroughly recommend 👍
Such a warm welcoming pub/restaurant. The staff there really make you feel special! We go as often as we can as we know the food will always be amazing!!!!
