I spent yesterday afternoon there. The food was lovely. I started with the garlic mushrooms. Nothing exciting but very tasty. Followed that with the lamb shank, cooked to perfection. Literally falling of the bone. I chose the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream for my pudding and I can only say it was orgasmic. Not one of my usual choices but will deffo have it again. I have attended a few receptions here from funerals to birthdays and always found the service very good. I would happily recommend it to all my family and friends. As for the cost, you pay for what you get. Good quality food at a good price. Thankyou for a mist enjoyable afternoon. X

I thought that the bonfire and fireworks display was excellent. We attended in plenty of time as we knew the pub and car park would be busy.
Although it was extremely busy we still managed to get drinks and food and understood that there would be a wait at the bar. I've never yet been to a big event and not had to queue for a drink etc.
The bonfire and firework display was very impressive and I could not have expected anything more from a small family run pub that was putting an event on for the local community.
The majority of people who I spoke to seemed to enjoy themselves and we will certainly be returning next year.
After reading some of the reviews I can't believe that we have attended the same event.
Some people find it easy to criticise other people's efforts but actually don't contribute much to the local community themselves.
Thanks to all the staff and the majority of the customers who made the bonfire a great event. Well done!!
