We use the Swan as a half way stop on our way too and from Mumbles. We cannot book as traffic can alter out arrival time by an hour or so. On December 22nd we pulled in, parked, only to find every table booked! The bar tender, a bearded Young man, found us two bar seats and we were able to order a quick snack, all very commendable. Our return journey took us again to the Swan, nearly fully booked but we had a table and their fish sharing platter, great value.
We call about 8 times a year, the drinks are a little expensive but we have never had a bad meal. 100% better than any service station, cheaper with helpful staff, good food and a varied menu. 20 years open this year, well done all.
Brilliant pub Astoped for late lunch yesterday with our dog . Severed by a lovely girl who strait away offered a water bowl & treats for him. Beautiful decor, very lovely staff and the lunch was amazing.
Great food staff very helpful even brought water for our dog lovely location lots of parking highly recommend
Lovely family meal, pre ordered as there were 17 of us as celebrating a 60th birthday. Had the conservatory area to ourselves looking out onto the garden so little ones enjoyed going off to play. food was lovely, staff friendly definitely recommend.
Lovely food, great service, good atmosphere. Good wine. Highly recommend
Lovely village pub, friendly staff, good food and a great atmosphere
This place never fails to deliver. The food, staff and atmosphere all first class.
Last minute decision to pop out for dinner and dropped into the Swan not knowing what to expect food wise but so glad we did!
Beautifully presented delicious food in abundance and allserved by great team who made our visit perfect.
The perfect Christmas dinner out! We’ve been to the Swan for 3 years in a row now for Christmas, and have never had a bad experience. It makes the day completely stress free & the food and service is fantastic.
Ordering on the day makes things really simple if you’re in a larger group & the staff are always so helpful and accommodating.
Set meals and standard menu now have a 10% service charge added, but always more than happy to pay it for the friendly and quick service.
We pre-booked a work-related group meal, the service was excellent and they coped with the large booking perfectly. Everyone got fed and watered. I had bangers and mash, classic pub grub and it didn't disappoint, huge, tasty plate of food. We sat in the conservatory which made sense given the size of our group, lots of room, just a bit stuffy given the weather.
If you're looking for a hidden gem to satisfy your cravings for delicious food, look no further than Swan at Whittington. This establishment is a true standout in the culinary world, offering a range of mouth-watering dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds.
One dish that is particularly noteworthy is the roast beef, which is cooked to perfection and always packed with flavor. Whether you're picking up one or two, you can rest assured that you're in for a treat.
But it's not just the roast beef that sets Swan at Whittington apart. The roast vegetables are equally impressive, with a perfect blend of seasoning and texture that will have you coming back for seconds (and maybe even thirds!).
Of course, no review of Swan at Whittington would be complete without mentioning the staff and management. These individuals truly go above and beyond to make sure that every customer is satisfied and happy with their meal. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you can expect to be treated with warmth and kindness at every turn.
Overall, I cannot recommend Swan at Whittington highly enough. If you haven't had the pleasure of dining here yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
Booked a table for lunch on a bank holiday Saturday. The Swan was easy to find, & a great location to meet at with lots of parking (& even had EV charging available)! It was very busy but the tables were well spaced so you didn't feel too close to other guests, but there was a nice atmosphere. We had a great meal: every main dish was nicely cooked, and served with fabulous veg on the side. For dessert, 2 of our party had Eton mess which went down a treat, & I tried their sorbets which were lightly refreshing.
Very pleasant staff, nice selection of drinks (alcoholic & soft), & clean toilets. I'm looking forward to a return visit - I want to try their delicious-sounding baked camembert!
Brilliant lunch, we were a big table of 10 and food came out swiftly and everyone was happy.
Pizza were great and on Tuesdays they do half price pizzas which is always great!
Love it here. Excellent food and a really pleasant atmosphere. Keep coming back again and again and never had a bad time.
New find, thought it was very good food. Cider wasn't right, no issues though. Interesting place, lots of interconnecting rooms. Open ALL week for food and drinks, really unusual now. Good place just off J7 M5
The location is just outside of Worcester. It is a beautiful pub with bar, outdoor and dining room seating. I would suggest making a reservation.
I had the lamb burger and added the stilton cheese. For me the burger was dry but the cheese gave it flavor.
The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Love the spaciousness and seating options indoors and out. They managed to make casual into a classic meeting place that could easily become a favorite for families, business meetings and passers through. My Eggs Royale were good and I appreciated that they were flexible on letting me tweak things to my liking: putting the Hollandaise on the side, letting me switch out the English muffin for granary slices. The poached eggs were timed to treacly yolk perfection. A bit stingy on the smoked salmon and no fresh squeezed juices on the (breakfast/brunch) menu. My oat milk flat white lacked the pretty flair of barista art flourish so common place today, but was satisfactory enough. If I had been seated where I wanted, up front by the window rather than told there was a staff meeting going on, I may have leaned into a conservative four stars here. I then asked to be seated away from other guests and ended in the back room which looked to be a well positioned, discreet spot for staff chats and meetings. Customers first, right? And, Back room business should, after all, be kept in its rightful place.
Me and my family visited The Swan for my Mum's 76th birthday celebrations. The food is simply delicious, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. We sat in the garden room / the conservatory and thanks to the staff at The Swan my Mum had a lovely time. Thank-you so very much! :)
Visited on Monday after the restaurant had an unexpectedly busy weekend. Lovely atmosphere and great welcome. As a result of the unexpected weekend traffic, the very helpful and pleasant staff had to tell us that several items on the menu were no longer available. What we had was delicious and will certainly be going back when, hopefully, the management may have sorted the ordering out.
Leaving do for a colleague. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Clearly all home made. Service was good and staff friendly.
Called in to have a bite to eat with some friends. Fish platter was very good indeed, more than enough to share. Bit of a wait, mind, but well worth it. Will recommend and return.
