The place has a lovely outside terrace with a chilled atmosphere where you can relax. We tried fish and chips and squid, the taste was decent but a little bit too oily. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic pub and beer garden. Live tasteful music and very considerate guests, very nice atmosphere overall. The bar staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the young man behind the bar today. The place is well kept and clean, the guests were all well behaved and respectful although the wine bottles were flowing at the tables all afternoon . Would highly recommend and definitely return.

A great place to sit and drink during the summer days in Whitstable. My partner and I came back twice on the same day to have some drinks at this place as it is so lovely with their decorations. Indoors it might look a bit more tame, but the backside outside has vivid colours which catches the eye in the best way. Service was good, so was the drinks we had. Hope to come back and try their food!

A great little pub hidden away in a quiet street between the beach and Whitstable High Street. We have visited this pub several times in the past and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The inside of the pub is quite small but very traditional and with its wooden floors and cosy decor it feels very welcoming. The main draw, however is its amazing beach themed beer garden. It has a roped off decking complete with a colourful beach hut style seating area plus a gravel 'beach' and a cool upturned boat in the corner to sit around. There are a few plants dotted around and little metallic buckets filled with sand for your cigarettes which further enhance the beach theme. There was a good selection of Shepherd Neame beers on offer, we opted for a couple of pints of San Miguel and Orchard View. They also serve food although on this occasion we didn't eat there, maybe next time we will try the food as we will definitely come back.

A cute little pub for a nice drink with a pleasant beer garden for cover when it randomly pours it down like it did on our visit! The bar staff were great coming out in the pouring rain and getting soaked to deliver drinks and food to us! The place was still table service only on our visit so I wonder if and when they will change this. It might help take a bit of pressure of the staff!

Lovely garden at the back. A bit of reprieve if the town gets too busy.

Comes with a beautiful sun-trap of a beach-like beer garden. The perfect place in summer to get away from the crowds on the beach. Also very customer-responsive. The football was playing on the screens outside and, to my mind, the sound was spoiling the ambiance and no-one seemed to be watching. I shared that with the landlady and asked if she could turn it off. She came out to check and immediately turned the sound right down, which seemed like a better compromise. Good stuff.

We were the only ones in so very little atmosphere. Chips were great. Rest of food ok. Excellent price for the area. Dog friendly.

What a lovely pub, with a genuine kind welcome from Harry and Dylan. Cool and very clean, ice cold beers and cricket on the TV. Bliss.

Lovely pub, popped in on the way to the train station, killing time before our journey home. Good selection of local and more traditional ales as well as your usual lagers. Cosy atmosphere, sitting at the bar or on the benches, especially with the fire roaring. Ideal for the coming winter months.

Small pub but extremely friendly. Visited with my son and my dog today. Food was just ok, but the service was excellent. My dog was welcomed with a bowl of water and a handful of treats, people who appeared to be regulars had a good fuss over her. The pub is decorated with beautiful paintings and other lovely seaside decor, very warm and cozy. Will absolutely visit again!

Slightly off the beaten track, the Smack ticks all the boxes if Whitstable is a bit too hustle and bustle and you need to cool down with a beer.

Biking through Whitstable and stopped off for a Beer and was even allowed to park my motorbike bike on forecourt. Welcoming atmosphere and great bbq food from the bbq shack. Thanks to Tiffany and the team!
