After popping in a couple of times to eat back in October last year on a week long stay, we were taken with both the food and the welcoming couple who own Gilbert’s, and so we were looking forward to returning on a day trip to Whitstable today. Just exactly what it should be. Eclectic, local, full of fantastic foodie goodies, a delightful and charming family serving the best bacon rolls (huffkins). Faultless.
Enjoyable cafe/shop with a superb selection of food including a Kentish Huffkin!!! Highly recommended.
(Updated today) this is the Gary Gilbert’s muffin and it’s out of this world. Made famous on insta . Just had the best egg/cheese/bacon muffin in Whitstable. Proof by the lack of photos. OMG it was out of this world
