Stayed one night in an upgraded room with a sea view. Very small but well designed room with a good sized en-suite. The binoculars were a nice touch but wardrobe was a little awkward to access. Our lunch and breakfast was very tasty. All staff and particularly the receptionists were a delight; friendly and helpful. Hope to return.

Not tried accommodation but great place to sit with a pint of Whitstable Bay IPA and enjoy a great bowl of Mussels whilst watching the beach and all it's glory. Thoroughly recommend visiting.

Sadly only stayed for one night , my room had a lovely view out across sea , would have loved more time to sit on the balcony with a cuppa or glass of wine . The reception staff were a pleasure ,and made us feel very welcome , The night porter who let us back in quite late was also very friendly . The breakfast was first clas ,and again all the staff in the dining area were friendly and welcoming . This is I think a hotel whose staff must be treated well simply because each person I met had a smile , I would be more than happy to recommend the Hotel Continental , Thank you .

Popped into the hotel bar on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a G&T and a latte. Absolutely impeccable service from one of your young, male bar staff. So friendly and polite and couldn’t do enough for all the customers. A joy to be in the company of his excellent customer service. Lovely hotel too! 👍🏻☺️

Had a fantastic time . The hotel is set just across from the beach. We were in room 1 which had just been refurbished to a high standard. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast looked amazing. But unfortunately I started getting the flu so couldn’t eat it. But I will be back to try it would recommend to anyone

My husband and I have just had a week away at the Hotel Continental with our two grandsons.(aged12 and 10) Everywhere was spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very different than any we have stayed in before. A very casual vibe and children are well catered for. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple of times too, absolutely superb. The baked cod was so delicious I had it both nights we ate there. We will definitely be going back. 🙂

We had a lovely stay, thank you. We got the family room with a queen sized bed and single bed looking out from the corner of the building over the sea. It was just wonderful to be able to watch the sunset, and the standards in the room and en suite are high. I didn't get a chance to stop and let you know that one side of the queen sized bed is sloping down just enough to make it a bit unpleasant, which is worth dealing with

Had a very nice stay here. Room was clean. We had a ground floor room which had seating outside our door which was nice. Especially in the evening for a sitting outside. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Would definitely stay here again

My family and I visited The Hotel Continental for a coffee and a light breakfast . The coffee was so delicious, hot and creamy, and beautiful Danish pastries. We went back for lunch, and we had kentish beer battered cod and triple cooked chips, which was absolutely delightful !! The fish was so soft and had so much flavour! The Tartare sauce was so yummy !!. The service was outstanding, and the waitresses were all so friendly. We didn't stay at the hotel but where we ate was clean, spotless, and lots of room. We will definitely be going back

We went to lunch in their dining room. The food was delicious. Waitresses are pleasant and efficient. The kitchen area is across the back wall of the room, which generally would be very acceptable but with only hard furnishings the chef was incredibly loud, Unacceptably and almost gratuitously banging metal kitchen ware about making a horrendous noise so much so we couldn't hear ourselves talk. We mentioned it to the waitresses but not to the chef for fear he might be offended to the detrement of our food. Maybe he was upset about something...........

Just went here for dinner, staff were absolutely lovely. Fish was well cooked and seasoned. And the choice of wine was great. The location is beautiful and if the sun is setting and you’re sitting outside in the sun it’s gorgeous. Highly recommend.

can't comment on food as didn't eat here but the room was great. my hometown so location was brilliant. Friendly welcome and all questions answered with a smile. From reception to the room the hotel was clean, tidy and light. the room itself was bright, tidy and clean. the bathroom was clean. The bed was lovely and firm and I had one of the best sleeps I'd had in a while. Sea view from the window was lovely. Testament to the windows, rain, hail and high winds, we hardly heard it until the hail was directly on the window. Overall a lovey stay in a clean, tidy, and welcoming hotel.

Very nice rooms. Ours had a balcony with sea view. The restaurant & bar didn't have comfortable chairs. This was the only downside.

Super hotel, welcoming and inviting. It is a small walk from the town centre which is welcome if you've had a meal in the town. However, we ate twice in the hotel + breakfasts. Could not fault the food, service & friendliness of the staff.

I was growing tired of hearing my friends go on and on about the fish and chips so I figured I'd try and it and I must admit... they genuinely are the best fish and chips I've had in this life 🙄

An absolutely lovely hotel. Staff were warm and friendly and happy to help in any way they could. We came straight from our wedding and the front desk staff upgraded us to the most gorgeous room with a sea view which was a wonderful treat and an incredibly kind gesture. The room was wonderful - very comfy bed and a smart bathroom. Shower was lovely. Location of the hotel is very convenient for walking into town and right on the seafront so amazing views. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special.
