Visited new years eve and booked a table upstairs. The views were beautiful, the fireworks exciting and the live music, although somewhat loud for the small bar area, was very good.
The set menu was excellent. Food well presented and cooked to perfection.
The staff as always make you feel welcome. They worked exceptionally hard all evening, were attentive, happy and professional.
In our opinion with the cosy open fires, good food, interesting wines and special beers you cannot fault this place.
Jake the manager always has a welcome smile, runs an excellent lively bar/restaurant and together with his well trained staff are an asset to Whitstable.
I would highly recommend this amazing little pub/restaurant by the sea.
Don't take my word for it, try it out yourselves. You will not be disappointed.
Called in without booking a table & the staff were very accommodating. We shared a selection of the small plates: monkfish scampi, king prawns, whitbait, oysters & squid- every dish superb. I had calves liver which was cooked to perfection, my partner had sea bream our daughter had mussels. Every dish was fantastic. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back when we next come to Whitstable
Visited on the off chance for Lunch and found the waitress helpful and friendly and booked us in straight away. The restaurant upstairs has a lovely view and the tables are set out that you are not too close tonth next table. The menu was varied and would definitely recommend the scallops and white bait for starters. The Smoked Haddock Kedgeree was amazing. We will be back.
