Highly recommend for a very good Indian. The wide range of currys were very good and flavourful. If you enjoy spicy heat, this place is also very good for that. The chicken (see below) was especially good. Melt in your mouth stuff
Simply excellent food. Every taste is as it should be and not smothered to western desire. Extremely nice staff, and the continuity of the Indian decor theme blends in nicely with the aromatic smells from the kitchen. Anyone who likes a very good Indian meal must go here. Best by far in Kent.
I have got take away from here intermittently and have always felt the quality is very high. Last night I sat in the restaurant to eat and I have to say I was utterly blown away. I am usually one of those people who sticks to a limited number of dishes but this time we asked the waiter to make recommendations based on his favorite dishes. In total we ordered 5 dishes to be shared at the table and all were excellent. The service was warm and friendly throughout the evening and as we were the last customers in the evening we also got to talk to the chef about regional Indian cuisine. Great experience and Krishna is now my go to Indian in Kent.
Great food! Excellent prices! Only 2 things in my opinion that stop me giving 5 * is.... there is only 1 toilet, which doesn't have a double door and leads directly into the restaurant. Second thing is the mints/chocolate raisins they offer at the end are just loose in a bowl and everyone's hands just dip into them. Not great for hygiene.
We had a really great experience here. Not your usual Indian menu and we enjoyed trying different dishes. Restaurant was busy on a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign. Food was delicious.
Fantastic Indian restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is brilliant and the service is attentive without being overbearing. I went with my brother recently and for starters, a couple of mains, rice, naan bread and two pints of Cobra it was approximately £45 which we both thought was reasonable considering the food was excellent. The menu is different from your typical Indian restaurant and there's some really interesting looking dishes. We had Himalayan lamb and it was incredibly tender and perfectly spiced. I will be tecommrecomm to friends and family.
I would like to say this place is terrible, don't ever go there, but I can't be so selfish. It is the total opposite. Really Great food, served very well. Take- aways are excellent and eating in even better. My Indian restaurant of choice in Whitstable.
Everyone on Trip Advisor used to rave about the Krishna, so we tried it. The decor is OK, service is good, and the food would be exceptional if only they didn't use processed chicken and lamb. They pride themselves on great spices - correctly! - but why to they spoil it with a lump of tasteless meat?
This is a hidden gem. Just great Indian cuisine! Excellent service. If you love Indian food, you have to give this place a try. Excellent value for money too!
I go to Krishna all the time, its the closest restaurant to my house - literally just down the road. The Mussel Rassa is a winner if you like shellfish really spicy and you get a massive bowl. We often have loads of the vegetable sides, really like the
Subz Paneer and Baingan Bharta (lovely aubergine!). Try it, its a walk from the High Street by worth it. You even get a little amuse bouche when you're seated.
Some other people have mentioned the meat may not be the best - take a look at the prices, that gives you an indication. Saying that, since when what India - particularly the south (the style of Krishnas food) meaty - not really.
Consistently excellent Indian over the last few years which has always ticked all my boxes. The 1 star review from "guy" below looks like a stitch-up from a local competitor - it would be better if they focused on raising their game rather than doing down a superior competitor.
