The Forge - Whitstable - Photo album

Fantastic fish & chips cooked to order right on the beach. The food is always top notch and there's a good menu that offers breakfast items until 11 as well as fish & chips, oysters and other lunch options. Simple, good food in a fabulous location.
We found this place by walking near the seashore. We went to Whitstable to eat oyster! At first we stumble into the oyster stall near the parking face, it was ok so we then decided to take a walk and found this place! It was heaven sent! They Oysters are fresh and large! We had 2 dozens between the
Simply BEAUTIFUL OYSTERS. The BEST I've ever had, and I'm a fan. Go for the Rocks, better priced and such a delicate taste. Will come back!
Ordered fish n chips. Great taste. Freshness of the cod can be felt right away. Will definitely visit again with some friends.
Best fish & chips we’ve ever had. Excellent service. Location is perfect for the sea views. Worth the price. Didn’t get a photo of the food as was too busy devouring it!
Mine & my partner's first time in Whitstable, and was going to visit Wheeler's, yet it was closed. This was my second choice, but these are, without doubt, the best oysters I've ever had! The cashier's demeanour was cold and unwelcoming however, and would be the reason I wouldn't come back if the o
The Forge Whitstable is a hidden gem that's a must-visit for anyone seeking the quintessential fish and chips experience. As a firm believer that the best fish and chips often come from vans and shacks, I can confidently say that this shack is truly impressive. Tucked away from the main high street
Small shack just off the beach to top up for a quick bite. Juicy and delicious oyster. Would recommend the local oyster stout to accompany. There are a few picnic tables but we took our food and sat on the beach with a view. Fab price for how fresh the produce is. Service was quick and prompt.
We wanted to take some oysters home to enjoy later, so we didn't sit and eat. The staff were really nice, when I said we were taking the oysters away unshucked they threw in a few extra for free in case any died in transit. The oysters themselves were lovely, clearly very fresh and so much flavour.
Oysters great. Oyster stout lovely. But breaded/battered cod is too small portion sizes compared to previous year's.
Firstly, we tried the famous oysters, £25 for two portions. They were delicious! Pricy but fair enough as they’re fresh oysters! Then we got fresh donuts, the guy making the donuts gave us an extra one! The donuts were hot, crispy, fluffy and delicious! Then later in the day we got fish and chips, w
Fresh shucked oysters to enjoy on the beach 🦪Beautiful & juicy at times, small & roughly shucked at others. This spot serves lovely fish & chips, local cider & beer, fresh donuts & of course - oysters! It’s only open on weekends/holidays & it’s always busy. They hire the local teenagers & might not
good setting by the sea wall and close to the beach ... lovely friendly and fast services
The best fish and chips on the beach at Whitstable! Highly recommended! Also, they are open until 8pm!! They serve oysters too. Go and try it, you won't regret it! The service was fast and efficient! Can't recommend them enough.
Had the expensive oysters cuz we visited late and the normal oysters were all sold out. But of course the expensive ones were super fresh and tasty, and fish n chips were also good. It only has seats outside with the view of the sea on one side, which is awesome!!
Fantastic flavoured fish and chips. Stopped here for a quick lunch and expected a fairly basic offering but was very surprised to get an extremely flavoursome fish and perfectly done chips. Definitely recommend!
THE most delicious, fresh doughnuts I’ve ever eaten and in such a beautiful location! Even the hot chocolate was proper chocolatey, not the weak and pathetic sugar laden vending machine junk, just lovely! Great little place, will definitely be back! 👍
This is place is amazing - we keep coming here again and again and again. The oysters are soo fresh and the condiments are on point. Dog friendly. There are also tables at the back with often at least one available. You can order oysters at the side too and avoid the queue when it’s particularly bus
