Tremendous veggie Sunday lunch at the Ox. The food and service from the team was exceptional, suspect it’s gonna be a regular event throughout the autumn and winter months. Defo give it try and treat the dogs to their own lunch, they loved it ❤️🐾

Great little pub with amazing Sunday Dinners - the Doggy Dinner is a great idea & it went down a treat. The staff are incredibly friendly & couldn’t do more to accommodate us.
I stumbled back in here with my wife a few week's ago, by happenstance, really. What a lovely experience! Food was obviously homemade and tasty, the prices were more than reasonable and the staff were fantastic. I had been about six years ago with an ex and we had a huge bust-up (nothing to do with the pub) and I hadn't been back in since. I'm glad I did as it's on our regular list of haunts. Well done! ✅
It's a beautiful place, the food is delicious, I can't describe it, you feel at home, not like a foreigner or a customer. In addition, the working staff is very friendly and helps you with everything.

Last in this pub about 4 years ago, what a change since then. Decor has been improved, new patio and covered area being constructed at the back and what looks like a good meal range being offered. Also now got a sunday lunch for doggies. The rear beer garden has fantastic views over Holywell Dene and is beautifully secluded. The pub itself is still very much a locals pub but has always had a warmth to it. Give it a try one sunny Sunday afternoon.
Friendly staff , nice surroundings ,welcoming log Burger. The meals were really good and very reasonable . Dogs welcome here.
Really nice food, had fish tacos and risotto and would thoroughly recommend both. Their own Best Bitter lovely too

Went for dinner on Saturday, the food was lovely, couldn't fault it at all. The only thing that let it down was the length of time we had to wait for dessert, it took about 10 minutes after ordering to find out there was no ice cream, then about another 20/25 minutes later we were told one of the options a few people had chosen wasn't available either and then shortly after that the dessert came. Altogether it took 2.5 hours for 4 adults and 2 kids to have a main meal and dessert and left as soon as we had eaten. But it was a minor inconvenience and other than that we had a spot on time and will go back.

Moroccan lamb, garlic prawns, meatballs, chicken dumplings, salt & pepper chips, duck rice & pulled pork tacos, absolutely amazing!!
Just a shame the kitchen closess early so we didn't get to sample the desserts.
Would highly recommend trying them when in the area, you won't be disappointed.
Had the most delicious selection of 3 small plates including steamed dumplings which you don't often see elsewhere. Service with a smile too.

Just had Sunday lunch which was excellent. They also do a Dog Sunday lunch for £4 Saffi was a very happy girl.

From the moment we came through the door been greeted to finnishing the dinner we had respect off all staff that were present cannot fault any thing at all warm welcoming pub the dinner was absolutely amaizing and big portions well worth the cash not to mention very well reasonably priced would recomend going back as i know i will be back for another meal definitely
Really nice food at really reasonable prices. Has changed ownership recently and has become really lovely and welcoming. Super dog friendly, with the landlord allowing us to take dogs off the lead in their lovely beer garden. Great for Sunday dinners or a quick lunch. Spoke to the owner and he was really helpful and friendly. Us and the dogs will be returning regularly!!

Really busy but they squeezed us in. We ordered the house burger which was really good!! Chips were crispy and fluffy and the burger was well cooked. This is our second visit and we will be coming again. Thanks
