Really lovely food & an excellent drop of beer I gather (was driving, so Mr Lemonade here takes the opinion of those I dined with). Lovely cod & chips & a sensitive amount of mushy peas that prevented me from "shooting bunnies/air buffets" later on. Not too crowded & every table is a sensible distance apart so nobody feels "herded/penned in". Second visit & would strongly recommend it Staff were kind, esp the lady at the bar when we were there on 24th Oct, who looked after my visually impaired father & toilet facilities were tiptop (even music speakers inside there to keep you entertained while you "pay a visit" ;) ) Great stuff & thank you

We’ve become semi- regulars at the Beacon. We’re not on the door step by any stretch - but local enough for it to be our first choice when we want to nip out for a meal and a decent pint! Last night we were joined by our grown up children as well as youngest daughter (11yo) to celebrate a belated birthday for myself. We were all made to feel very welcome. As a larger group with individual requests for almost every dish we ordered the staff were very accommodating and friendly with it. Service was good and each meal was spot on! (As usual). At 8.45pm we were politely reminded that come 9pm there was a no under 18s policy. We hadn’t actually realised it was that late! But the barman was very discreet and gave us plenty of ‘warning’. The app is a great idea and I appreciated my free bottle of birthday prosecco! All in all a lovely evening spent with my favourite people in what had become one of my favourite bars in the area. Thank you!

My 'local' pub/ restaurant.....always feel welcome and comfortable even when dining on my own, very friendly helpful staff plus a varied menu ....and helpful fir me as a vegetarian. I take a group of seniors there for Christmas lunch And can say how lovely the food was, the staff were particularly pleasant even though they were extremely busy. Well worth a visit .

Great food, great prices and a great atmosphere. The staff were very helpful as well. I would just like to say a huge thank you to the staff at The Beacon for helping to make my Mam and Dads Ruby Anniversary meal special. We will definitely be back again!

Yesterday was the second time I have visited and again was not disappointed. Being about 2pm the place was not too busy so we got a table straight away. The service was very good and my beef rib was beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and came to check half way through if everything was ok. We were thanked for our service when the plates were collected and when we left. I was here on first date and glad to say it went well too so thank you ha ha x

After living nearby for over a year, I can't believe it's taken us so long to visit The Beacon. Great food, great value and friendly staff. We certainly won't be leaving it too long before the next visit!

Called in for tea on a Wednesday, table of 3, had to book in advance. Nice well spaced tables, pleasant efficient staff, have the option of ordering at the bar or via the app, service was quick. Meals (2 x posh fish and chips and 1 x vegan curry) arrived nice and hot and the food was really good, no complaints. Overall a nice reasonably priced pub meal in pleasant surroundings.

Couldn’t have been more helpful the staff here and the food was really tasty! Really polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great range of drinks and good atmosphere in the pub. Plenty of parking outside and in a great location. Delicious food and the photos do not do it justice. Thank you!!

A really busy pub. Very attentive friendly staff. Menu was large so plenty of choice. I plumped for 2 courses for under £10 . Prawn cocktail (a little supplement) and a gorgeous vibrant Greek style salad. Will definately be back .

Always great service and super friendly staff, I often take my Dad who has Alzheimers, the staff are amazing with accommodating his needs and he always feels very comfortable & relaxed there, we're often there for several hours. Food is always great, drinks choice (for 10 non- drinkers!) Is super, we love the cabanas in the garden, and it's brilliant to see all the dogs enjoying an evening in the pub 😀

It's the value with 40% off Booking that made this visit even better. We like the layout, choice and service and staff though and are regular visitors all the time

It’s a cozy place and the food is wonderful. I would like to see more light bite on the menu like paninis or sandwich’s.

Would have given 5 stars but out of 7 meals, the beef madras hubby ordered only had 3 tiny pieces of meat in it!! Disappointed.

Good selection of drinks and food. Service was good, both at the bar and table. No obvious options for improvement.
