We LOVE this place, we come here all the time. The food is always fantastic, the staff are always really nice and we’ve even met the chef who was lovely and has given us some great cooking tips! It’s a great location and the style and atmosphere is always good. It’s perfect for our 3 year old as they have a lovely little play area for him while we wait for food - which has never been very long. They also have healthier options even for our little one which is great he loves the ‘picnic’. I usually go for the burger and sweet potato fries but I just tried the superfood bowl which was delicious!
1st visit today after a beautiful walk along the seafront in the sunshine.
Living only 10 minutes away from this place I'm not sure why we haven't visited before!
I, my wife and 3 kids absolutely loved the food my 7 year old ate the whole amazing hotdog and fries and my daughter also left empty plates.
The staff were very friendly and chatty which was great!
This place has a warm family feel, serves great food with the particularly the pancakes are unreal i highly recommend it

First visit yesterday. What a lovely place. I had the eggs benedict and it was beautiful. My friend had the warm. Salad which went down equally well!. The staff were lovely too and they welcomed our dog in too and even brought her a bowl of water! Nice work guys. I'll definitely come again
Brilliant family friendly place and great for children. The toy box and lego wall is a great idea! Coffee was lush, as was the food. They even stayed open after they should have closed until we were finished. Lovely service and location. Would definitely recommend for those with small children!
Lovely venue, loved sitting in old Waltzer car. Food was amazing I ordered the Super Bowl Salad which was really lovely, my friends equally enjoyed their crab sandwich and burger! Lovely touch having Wham playing as we went in for dinner before going the the Playhouse to watch George Michael tribute! Would definitely recommend.
The place has become a 2nd home for me. The guys always go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It’s a Whitley Bay hotspot. There has been thought behind every dish on the menu and having said that there is nothing I wouldn’t eat there. Those Crab pancakes and that house Burger... ��
Have eaten here on two occasions now, nothing short of excellent both times, personally recommend the fisherman's lunch, service was great, will definitely be back again and again!

My boyfriend and I popped in for a quick breakfast on a drizzly morning. LOVED the decor and the atmosphere - so much attention to detail. What's more is the breakfast buns we had were top notch and quickly served but friendly staff. Can't wait to come on an evening sometime �
We stopped for a drink and a bite to eat prior to a show at the Playhouse. We had 2 cocktails for £10, both themed with seaside/fairground flavours, both delicious . The southern fried chicken burgers really crisp and tasty with a generous serving of fries. I wanted the cake, but I just couldn't eat another bite!
Great food and great staff. Had breakfast outside with it being a lovely day. Dog friendly too will have to try a meal next.
Staff where amazing, they were friendly, chatted to my son when he got upset as he thought they were pinching his food when I asked for a tub to take his home as he hadn't eaten it.

We popped into the Crab and Waltzer during our few days stay in the area. The young girl Ellen was fantastic ! So friendly , helpful, chatty to everyone. She had such a passion for the place, we thought she must own it but she wasn’t the owner ! She’s the kind of employee every company would want! The food was great and they do skimmed milk which has been hard to find in other coffee shops. When we come back to this area we will definitely be back to the Crab and Waltzer - fantastic place - 10 out of 10 ! Jenni and Derek Thorpe , Beverley, East Yorkshire. Great place to eat and drink when visiting Whitley Bay. There’s some great places surrounding for take aways etc, but this is my favourite if you fancy a drink and somewhere comfortable to sit down.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.
Popped in for breakfast. Amazing bacon and sausage sandwich with the highest quality meat. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff.
Called in for breakfast, was told straight away about an offer they had on for my little boy to eat free with a paying adult. Full English breakfast was huge and delicious my sons had pancakes/waffles and couldn't finish it all the portions are very generous!

Absolutely wonderful place to eat.
We visited this place a couple of times for breakfast and was very impressed. Lovely staff and very attentive. They even fussed over my niece and gave her some crayons so she could colour.
Food was brilliant and was more then enough to set us up for the day.

Every time I've eaten there, always a good experience. Food good quality, well cooked and presented. The staff are always friendly and making sure the surroundings are tip top. I've returned repeatedly and friends/family have also been pleased when eating there.
Absolutely lovely place fantastic food, lightest battered fish superb chips. Outstanding..portions are big..so be careful...Great value for money..really top staff. Little gem of a place, hidden in plain sight.
