Service is good. Staff are friendly and polite. Nice dining environment with live piano music.
We ordered:
fish&chips, fish tastes fresh and tender;
fish pie, which my friend enjoyed a lot;
and oysters, which are fresh and of very good quality, a must-try. Although ponzu sauce is just lemon.
Overall
Near the Spanish City we found this fish and chips shop with outside sitting on wooden benches.
Great views and a lovely place with tasty fish good size and well cooked. The chips were also very nice but overpriced for the quantity.
We had it taken away and condiments were offered in a station to he
Was ok. I've had better fish and chips from South Shields.
In spite of that, the chips were still ok and the venue is fabulous and also great value.
Worth visiting. There's some good offers on for kids and OAPs as well.
It was lovely to be in Spanish City so many years later and now a lovely restaurant. Service was excellent, especially taking my GF order...fresh fish...lush fish n chips! Staff very friendly and polite..highly recommended and Manager Ryan extremely helpful getting us to the right place with Mam and
Went to Trenchers last night for a meal. We were initially sat quite close to the main entrance & I asked to move tables, this was no problem. The food was fantastic, I had scampi & my partner had haddock. The young man who served us was so polite & attentive. There was a pianist & this added to the
Food was great, fish and chips...steak pie, amazing...cherry and almond tart, lovely, sherry trifle, had better... beautiful place, dining under the dome, staff were incredibly helpful and lovely
This restaurant is located on the fish quay so there is a pleasant buzz around it. It is clean and comfortable inside. I had haddock and chips with a separate portion of mushy peas, which came with a tea or coffee included. They also serve wine here, and it's not just fish and chips in the menu. Th
We used the Trenchers takeaway for tea - people mention it being more expensive, but I thought it was fairly on par to be fair price wise. I was expecting perhaps something out of this world, as we had noticed the 'cooked in beef dripping' on the window.
We ordered just inside and then waited outsi
Beautiful setting, the building and decor is just perfect! Good choice of food on the menu. I decided on the cod pieces, king prawns, chips, salad and chilli sauce. Very filling and not greasy!
Best fish & chips ever eaten ( 63 years of eating 😋 ). Fantastic choice of starters, mains & puddings. Extremely clean and attentive friendly staff. Really impressed. Very well managed restaurant.
Fantastic venue, fish and chips OK but nothing special. Attitude of some staff left a lot to be desired. They got two orders mixed up, not familiar with menu and questioned our orders. A smile would have been nice, perhaps some staff training would be of benefit!
1st visit here. Live local but had never been inside the dome. Loved the space and airiness. Lots of room between tables. Staff all friendly and polite. Food was well cooked and tasty. We booked using online service which needed a £10 holding fee but as we showed up, it wasn’t ever charged to our ac
Excellent food in an elegant airy venue. Lots of light and space and a pianist playing a mix of tunes and requests. It made for a delightful, slightly informal atmosphere in a beautiful landmark building. Service was excellent. I look forward to going again!
Excellent service and really nice fish and chips. The staff was very attentive and quick with the food. Lovely atmosphere with the piano player too.
We've eaten at Trenchers a few times and always enjoyed it but I do feel that ultimately it's just an over blown chippy tea.
I had steak this time and was very disappointed but didn't want to make a fuss as it was a celebration meal. For £22 I expect something better than a piece of meat no more tha
