After a frosty start from one of the people working there which almost saw us walking out things got so much better. We was lucky to be served by a wonderful lady called Tanya, who was the most loveliest of people you would want to meet. My husband is blind and without any promping Tanya behaved around him like she did it every day. Explaining what she was doing and where she was placing things and asking HIM not me what HE wanted, she did all this with a smile on her face while being run ragged due to a lack of staff, this made our experience there a very relaxing evening. Thank you Tanya and if we're ever in the area again we will definitely be dining there again, but only if the lovely Tanya is on duty.

We had a meal at the Beefeater after a walk back in the rain (and wind) from the lighthouse. We did debate walking into town but thought that this would be a better option for the kids. We got there and it was pretty empty, weirdly we stood waiting for a period before it was acknowledged we were there - thankfully, the service was far better once we were seated. The wife started with some cocktails (it was a 2 for £10 deal they have on at certain times), and the kids got stuck into deciding what they wanted. Rob the server did well at engaging with us at various points and the kids got given some activity sheets to keep them busy. We were glad when some food turned up as it felt like it took a while! Food was fairly average, it did what it needed to and got us nice and warm - but I certainly wouldn't be rushing back for a particular dish or anything. The kids set menus came with deserts so we was also there a little long (I think our meal was about 2 and a bit hours in the end). The kids get restless and to be honest, so do I! Nice little touch by one of the other staff (didn't catch a name) who gave the kids some bubbles on their way out. 5 stars for service, but 3 stars for food - averaged out to a 4 star!

Came for a meal with my fiance, we didn't book, and even though they were busy, as we came on a Sunday where everybody comes out for roasts, they sat us in the bar area. Food was tasty, cocktails were lovely, and both the atmosphere and staff were lovely! Deffo recommended that people give this place a go!

Simple good food at decent prices we've eaten there 4 times now and had breakfast, lunch and evening meals, the staff are really canny but can be a little forgetful on occasion but overall definitely worth a visit.

Clean bright restaurant. Usual Beefeater menu with good service. Friendly helpful waiters. Pretty busy as it was summer holidays, lots of children! Situated right on the promenade so great views. Recommended!

Can't be beaten for breakfast! Brilliant value at £10 per person for cooked breakfast and buffet style pastries, crumpets, fruit juice, toast and teas and coffees not to mention the fact that up to two children per adult eat for free!! It's worth getting there early as it gets busy after about 9.30. The staff are all friendly and conscientious and the food is very good. The setting is very pleasant being on the seafront and the restaurant itself is nicely presented with modern quirky decor and comfortable seating and large windows. We tend to go most Sundays for our slap up brekkie.

Great breakfast. Just what you need before a day of walking. Service was good. The system was explained clearly. The food was served hot and the quality was good. Very good value for money.

It was good. Great service, but there was a lot of things missing from the menu that day. Still a good place and the salmon was nicely cooked. Will go back and try more stuff

Great service, staff are super attentive and really friendly. I am on a carb restrictive diet and they adapted my breakfast without flinching. Kids eat free with breakfasts for adults. A great place for food after a long walk on a cold beach in winter. Great place, great service, good food.

The lady in charge was amazing. Despite being really busy, Tanya dealt with disgruntled customers in a very positive manner. She was constantly cheerful and compassionate. A fantastic asset to the Beefeater Chain.
