And she's right ! Never had fish and chips like it. The fish was cooked to perfection with the lightest most crispy batter I've ever eaten and the chips were simply delicious too. Together they looked beautiful on the plate as the pictures show. I don't know what the secret recipe is but it's definitely working.
Wish I didn't live so far away or I'd be back there more often than not. 😁
What an absolute gem this place is. Lovely food and lovely people. I'm not the biggest fan of chip shop chips, so the fisherman's sharing platter was the perfect choice. Everything was fried shatteringly crisp without being greasy. The pea fritters and curry sauce were incredible as well.
All fairly priced and served quickly as well. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
Probably the best Fish & Chip restaurant in Whitley Bay. The fish is cooked to order so you might be waiting 15 minutes but it's worth it. Very fresh fish in nice crisp batter. There is seating inside, directly outside and also across the road on the promenade. Recommend the Haddock and Chips.
Very nice food with excellent and very friendly service, the prices are on the higher side for a sit in Chippy, but it is very good food, the kids meal however was exceptional value at £6 with a drink included. And the coffee is very good too ☺️
I had travelled to the area for training. It’s a must to get fish n’ chips by the sea as far as I’m concerned and I found this great place. Great tasting food with a very generous portion. Over the road there are benches and tables where you can eat overlooking the beach. A perfect end to my day! There is also a small restaurant to eat in and tables right outside the shop. I parked on a side street which was about 50p per hour. You need to pay via the RingGo app as no cash was taken at the machine (easy to set up).
A lovely place for traditional fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the batter was crispy and not oily. Mushy peas had a decent flavour to them too. Portion sizes are also good, not too much and certainly not too little.
What a find! Fabulous cod and chips, scampi and chips, mushy peas and sharp tartare. The batter was lovely and crunchy, the fish fresh, the scampi are proper whole-tail shrimp, and the pots of tea wash it down just right. The atmosphere isn’t bad but it’s not going to make you want to hang around. Very clean and comfortable, it’s more of a lighting issue if you could pick anything. Toilets are very clean (bonus). Took two meals away for others after our sit in meal. Just asked them and they organised it all so it would be fresh to go and paid for at takeaway rates. Really an excellent fish and chips restaurant.
Lovely haddock and chips,nice light batter and tasty chips. The feathered dinner guests were very well mannered
The Fish and chips are the BEST & The curry sauce is sooo nice has a nice kick to it.
The Food is always hot when it comes to your table.
You can sit inside. If you take out there is sitting outside or just across the road.
The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome.
Its has won awards for the best Fish & chips. I love coming here as it the best place in Whitley Bay for Fish and chips.
Absolutely cannot fault anything with this place best fish and chips , no grease anywhere perfectly cooked. Staff are always hard working and friendly and keep the place nice and clean... Yet to find anywhere better!
