Nice spot for food, in an historic building. Good variety on the menu. They were out of a few items when I visited, but Brexit has caused huge issues with supply chains, so out of their hands.
Fantastic spot for lunch in the centre of town. The food was of good portion size, authentic and most importantly tasty. The “Lord’s Burger” was a delicious treat, juicy and full with a lovely soft bun. The chips were amazing with a crispy exterior and a fluffy flavoursome interior. Currently only open 3 days a week, Friday-Saturday, but definitely worth a visit on one of those days!

Excellent coffee and a good selection of cakes for the weary cyclist. Friendly and quick service, probably not big enough for groups.
Tried a Friday evening here, absolutely charming! Food was fantastic, wine lovely, service amazing. I think the unique thing here though is the fantastic atmosphere, you can tell the owner/ chef really really cares about what he’s doing. He is passionate about feeding people with well cooked, quality produce, every detail is carefully considered to ensure you enjoy your experience. Top marks and would highly recommend for a lovely evening 👏🏻 Thank you Aaron and team
I have been a few times to have lunch since Dennings opened and loved the food and atmosphere as well as the good service. I booked a table for dinner and had the most wonderful time! The lovely candle lit tables, quiet background music, excellent and very clever menu and superb red wine made for a fantastic evening out. The staff serving were professional and relaxed which is not an easy balance. The owner who is also the chef is very friendly and checks in that you are enjoying your food which is nice :) I had such a good time I have already re-booked for 2 future dates!
I had the Saint’s breakfast, my partner a Knight’s burger. We were both happy at receiving very fresh local food of top quality. And the staff were extraordinary - friendly, helpful, patient, and although extremely busy, looked after us very well.
Stopped off for a quick lunch on way south to Southampton. I don't normally comment on places but this one is exceptional despite the trauma brought about by the pandemic. The staff are genuinely lovely and although we just expected a simple lunch, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of what they served us. I had a ploughman's. I can safely say that I have never experienced such a delicious and varied offering. The Black Cheddar cheese especially was outstanding as were all the other components. I was determined to finish it although I had some help from my wife who had a beautifully presented salad. This place is worth diverting to if you are driving along the A34 and want to avoid the transport cafes.
Without a doubt the best restaurant in Whitchurch. The chef, Aaron, is the most spectacular chef and focuses the menu around local, sustainable, seasonal ingredients. He truly cares about his food and is passionate about his work.
Absolutely outstanding from my rib eye steak all the way through to carrot cake.
I look forward to becoming a regular here and enjoying their breakfast next week.
PS do book - it's ridiculously popular! (and rightly so)
Popped in for cocktails with a chum; delightful staff were attentive & polite. Just at the nibbles stage of cocktail drinking we were offered some food & my goodness it was lovely.
Some of the best evenings are the spontaneous ones...
I shall be visiting again!
Visited this gorgeous little bistro for a breakfast and it was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is very warm and friendly and the food is excellent! The lord's breakfast is delicious and the pastries are to die for! I will definitely be returning to try out more of what they have on the menu!
