First time visit to Lockside Cafe. Staff are lovely. Lovely building in a picturesque setting next to the Shropshire Union Canal and staircase locks. Our food was very tasty. Nice selection of meals/snacks available at reasonable prices. Seating outside which is ideal for watching the barges come an
Great place to go for a drink and something to eat. The toasties, baguetts and the cake we had were lovely. Interesting to see all the barges going down the locks too! Well worth a visit.
I had a lovely Time and I really enjoyed my ice creams my server was lovely and friendly I believe her name was Amy. I would recommend coming again
One of those cafes that serves solid, wholesome food at a reasonable price. You won't get a fancy pants salad here but neither will you leave hungry.
I enjoyed a decently sized baked potato with tuna and it hit the spot. The garnish was some leaves with one tomato and a slice of cucumber. Simple an
Lovely cafe by the side of the canal lock. Inside and outside seating. Dogs welcome.toasted sandwiches, baked potatoes, fresh made baguettes, a cooked breakfast before 10.30, wonderful cake selection and refreshments. I had baked potato with smoked salmon and cream cheese and an earl grey tea. Beaut
Had a lovely visit last Saturday. Great location right next to the canal!
Staff were friendly and attentitive, the place was spotless. Really enjoyed my tuna and cheese toastie. Fantastic cappuccino, will definitely visit again, next time with the dog too!
Coffee is on the high cost side and may be good ingredients but not well made so not good.
Unfortunately seems nearby farms were fertiliser spreading ( or something) so a bit smelly
Still, nice sitting area on the lock and good food and cake options
Great spot for some lunch, or coffee and cake, or an ice cream in the summer.
There's always something to see on a walk along the canal.
Good value and freshly made. Our baguettes were fresh out of the oven! 🙂
Staff were friendly and polite. đź‘Ť
Pleasant place to have a drink, ice cream, snack or meal next to a staircase of three locks. The pub has a front courtyard and gardens to the rear both parallel to the canal so the passing narrow boats add atmosphere and entertainment
A homely cafe, well-suited to breakfasts, brunches and lunches, as well as superb cakes and ice-creams. There is a small, free car park. Should be ok for wheel-chair users and small children.
Extremely helpful and accomadating staff, we previously bought ice creams whilst doing the locks. They were delicious! My Dad was so grateful for your service. Thank you!
Peaceful little coffee shop! Great cake
It is a really lovely place, a great outdoor seating area, and a nice view of the locks. Great coffee and cake. Dog friendly, which for us is great. Friendly staff too.
Great place to go for a sit down enjoy a drink and some food, while taking in the lovely views. The canal locks are just to the side with plenty of outdoor sitting both to the front and garden to the rear. The staff are very friendly and helpful
We've been there quite a few times (when out on our bikes). The location is perfect, watching life on the canal whilst enjoying the food and company. The staff are really friendly and always service with a smile (majority of them at least).
I’ve passed here a few times and decided to call in for coffee and cake. There’s a good selection of cakes. The chocolate and orange was tasty. Staff were pleasant and the cafe is in a nice location just off the road by the canal.
