Great selection of beers, keg and cask.
Big outside dressing area... really friendly land lady
Was looking for a cozy pub with a fire, and this one didn’t disappoint. Nice mix of friendly locals. Bar staff friendly and good range of drinks. This pub has a different visiting food vans each night out the front, so you can buy there and eat inside. It was the pizza van when I went - really lovely home made pizza. Highly recommend this place.

Good luck to Jason who took over this pub 3 minutes before our walking group arrived. With big smiles he produced cold drinks gratis , telling us to donate our payment to our charity - walking London to Cornwall for macmillan. Those of us who are local will be back soon when pub fully open
Really friendly local pub serving good food. Stopped here whilst on holiday, we made for this place having enjoyed it a few years ago and we were not disappointed, the weather was hot & humid outside so we sat inside & they were happy for our Lurcher to occupy a large area of floor, the drinks were cold and the food, a hound burger was really tasty. Will be stopping by next time we are in the area.
Visited this pub for the first time in many years recently. Found it to be tasteful refurbished, busy with a great atmosphere.
A very busy pop up food van in the car park was an obvious attraction. The beer was of an excellent quality in my opinion & the landlady very busy but politely attentive. An enjoyable visit!
Great local pub. Food van outside almost every night and a great fire and atmosphere inside, and once the weather picks up the outside garden is awesome too.
Its a top to visit pub, nice welcome, comfortable. Fabulous beer and pop up food. Love this place
An excellent porter was on tap when I visited. Nice traditional pub.
Friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Cosy interiors and a decent beer garden for when the weather lends itself. No food, but yummy gourmet food vans cater most evenings! Will come back :-)
No food on due to weather unfortunately but nice little pub
Food score is from Sharwarma outside on Sunday
Was slightly put off by the previous negative reviews however I arrived to find the pub has recently been refurbished and has a new landlord.
Lovely local village pub, nice garden with heaters, extensive selection of gins & friendly service. Will definitely be back.
A lovely little village pub. Has just had a bit of a make over both inside and the garden and is a lot better for it! And what a fantastic change to see a pub NOT and i repeat NOT doing food and instead concentrating on beer/drinks! It will be doing a small selection of food i. e pork pies, sausage rolls etc but going back to being a proper pub being its priority! The only issues i have with it now are 1, dim the lights more to make it really cosy and maybe think about putting on each table a real candle to make it really welcoming, that would be a great finishing touch and 2, and the biggest issue i (& other customers have said) is the music!!! It's not the actual music (which is fantastic by the way!) but the volume of it, its waaay too loud! Its a thing so many pubs/bars make the mistake of doing. Just keep it in the background, people make the atmosphere! Sort these small issues out and it will be a 5 out of 5!👍👍👍👍
Good beer selection and very nice garden
Lovely local pub where you can enjoy a good range of beers and wines inside the old pub or in the small garden. There is no kitchen but the pizza van is good value and a clever alternative.
Such a lovely pub, great place for a quiet drink to catch up. Love the little creative writing group I attend once a month.
Great drink selection and gorgeous open fire.
Have been coming here since I was a kid and having just made a return visit is looking the best it ever has... Has always been a good pub country pub, now a great one!
Great beer, great bar snacks, great staff. What else do you need?
This is a great little pub. Recently refurbished and apparently under new management, you get a very friendly welcome, attentive service, delicious pub grub and tasty beer. It seems to work for both for a quiet pint or if you're sitting down to eat. There's a garden at the back but I didn't get out there. I don't live in the area, but if I did this would be my go to place for a good lunch and a few relaxing pints on a Saturday afternoon.
