Mister Chips By The Beach - Whitby - Photo album

Came here on the Saturday night of Goth weekend, we found this gem of a place after walking about Looking for food. so glad we did, the food was amazing, the staff were really lovely, we thanked the young chef as the food was spot on. Can’t wait to come back.
Nice fish and chips at a reasonable price. The mushy pees were a little bland and the curry sauce was watery. I got the large fish and chips and it was a huge portion. The fish was tastey and the chips were great. Staff were ....ok. overall I would come back, but probably for a take away.
This was our visit to Whitby, and had heard that Mister Chips was well worth a visit if going. They have 2 outlets, the main one is on the Abbey side of the bridge, but we chose this one by the harbour. We decided to eat in the restaurant, rather than get a takeaway due to the weather. The tables we
We were seated very quickly and it was a nice place to go with a dog. Really tasty fish and chips which came relatively quickly, although my side of beans and my friends' additional sausage came 5-10 minutes later which was disappointing.
Having been turned away by two other restaurants (claiming they were too busy for a table for one), I stumbled across this place. I’m so glad that I did. Traditional fish and chips cooked and served perfectly; the curry sauce is spot on too. I had the medium cod and chips (see photo). The portion wa
Absolutely awesome, Fish Platter Cod,Haddock, lemon sole & Plaice, and a pot of tea or coffee £15.95 All freshly cooked, definitely going in here again, staff friendly and helpful.
Top rate Fish and Chips. Reasonable priced with good portions. Medium size fish is really a good size. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is Covid safe with partitions and hand gel. Very clean and not over crowded. The restaurant is situated at the head of the pier in the harborside.
EXCELLENT. Quick service and lovely food. Compared to other places in Whitby on the day we visited it was surprisingly quiet. Recommended by a local of nearby community Staithes which is where we stayed for a week, Mr. Chips did not disappoint and personally I think it is a extremely underrated plac
Visited whilst in whitby with the family and the food was good service was good it was manic busy but service was excellent.
Lovely food, friendly, helpful staff, dog friendly. All round top place to visit
Ordered cod and chips, scampi and chip butty. Quality of food was 👌. Service was also excellent. We asked if they fried the fish separately to the meat, and they mentioned they also fried separately in vegetable oil if required and asked us to double-check the butter just in case it wasn't halal.
Service is slow, always has a queue. Fish and chips is pretty good, but the prices are quite high. Excellent location if you are near the beach.
Went there 6/8/2023. Very busy but the staff were very efficient, the chips were the best I’ve had anywhere. The fish was large cod, crispy batter but was a bit tasteless. Pot of tea, for 2 people
Had a fantastic hot chocolate here, excellent value for money. Didn't eat here, but food portions appeared generous for what we saw. Dogs welcome. Staff friendly. Had to wait to be seated by staff member, but that wasn't long. Would recommend
Start off by saying the staff were lovely. Friendly, polite and helpful. We had cod and chips x2 one medium one large, both looked the same size. Heavy on the batter making the fish look bigger. This is the reason not a 5☆ Chips excellent, tea and hot chocolate nice. Mushy peas ok. Round up, fish an
