Found by chance looking for a cup of coffee and maybe a scone. Well, we found delicious quiche, choice of savouries and incredible cakes. Every thing was so fresh just out of the oven, The ladies and a lovely young man were serving , they were all so friendly. The tea garden was delightful. We loved it so much we went back the following day, on our way home. We could not praise the Community Shop enough. We wish you well, a huge benefit to the community. Good luck one and all, what a gem.
Lovely little shop with a tea garden out the back.
Very friendly staff and very, very nice pies that are freshly baked on-site. The best for me was the generous sized slices of homemade cake , I strongly recommend the lemon & coconut cake , compliments a late coffee beautifully.
Great little store for essentials. Check your change though, I was to busy chatting and didn’t check my change….. over a tenner short. No time to call back and sort so if your reading this, please pop the money in a charity box
What a fantastic shop.
Lots of locally sourced produce, the star of which may be the sourdough, which is delivered still warm on a Thursday morning.
The sandwiches are top class, whether lunch or breakfast.
The ladies that run the place are lovely and welcoming.
Do yourself a favour, go there!?
I love this little shop, so small but mighty and has everything you could ask for.
We even had tea and scones round the back in the garden. Small selection of second hand books was a lovely idea.
Plants for sale at a great price too.
Food is amazing and fresh, there's even a post office which we used. 8-1pm
Lovely little tea garden. Food was great, tasty and fresh and will def call again when passing.
Friendly staff, superb cakes. We sampled caramel shortbread, rocky road and victoria sandwich. Fresh bread and buns were also top class! Stayed in a cottage in the village. Very impressed with vast stock in the shop, wish it was our local village shop! Well done to you all....
Me and my wife always drop into this little gem of a shop. I can't think what it doesn't sell food wise. There is a lovely little seating area round the back of the shop were you can eat and drink in lovely surroundings, and beautiful plants. We always buy a full quiche from there, as they are amazing along with many more things. It's a great stop when we are travelling around in the campervan. The staff are so friendly, and they are all volunteers to. So keep up the good work guys. Kind regards Mr and Mrs Lincoln-Price 👍🙏

A lovely, welcoming small community shop with just about anything you need and a Post Office attached. They do excellent sandwiches and great hot drinks too.
Cracking local shop. I was staying at the campsite down the road and this had everything I needed - I wish I had a shop like this at home. Lovely friendly service too, a real credit to the village. Thank you.
Had a lovely coffee in the beautiful court yard garden
Brilliant, a very welcome break for four cyclists staying in whitby, lovely rear tea garden, fresh cakes, hot tea and great service.
