Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf Inn is on another level second to none. Just perfect from start to finish, upon arrival my partner and I were greeted by very friendly staff and quickly shown to our pre booked table for two. Quality food that's cooked to a high standard and served by polite and friendly professional servers. The beef was cooked to perfection and the home made Yorkshire puddings were divine. Desert was homemade apple and seasonal fruits crumble, Amazing!!! Can't wait to return. Thank you.

A beautiful country pub/restaurant in the heart of North Yorkshire. Food is excellent as is the service. Would highly recommend their Sunday lunches.

We came across the wheatsheaf having a drive round and what a discovery the food was outstanding the best belly pork I've ever had, can't explain how good the food is here.

We were looking for a lovely place for Sunday lunch following a visit to the NYMR. We were lucky to be able to reserve a table at the last minute. Upon arrival it was warm and cosy with our table set up ready in the bar area with a high chair as requested. There are several different areas for eating or relaxing and we would definitely like to return and eat in the restaurant area. The Sunday Roasts were all absolutely delicious with plenty of vegetables to go around! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming and it would have been lovely to stay longer and enjoy more food and drink by the fire. One member of staff even offered to have our toddlerโ€™s plate washed and returned to us, which is certainly above and beyond. We will definitely be returning and thank you for exceeding our expectations. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Went here for lunch, not accommodation. Food is outstanding, and went back for Sunday lunch. Selection of real ales which were well kept, as well as selection of larger. Friendly service and very reasonable priced.

Wonderful food, as always! We usually have 2 chicken currys because it is so good! However, tonight, we broke the mould with the Chicken Escolope!

Booked for lunch today on recommendation. Very impressed what a beautiful country pub with real fires and 1st class hospitality and lovely food what's not to love. Asked if they had rooms and they will do later in the year they are just getting the rooms done as we speak. So booked 2 rooms for my birthday ๐ŸŽ‚ in Nov with friends. The dining room looked lovely too can't wait to return could have sat there all day. Such a welcoming place highly recommend. *************** Wouldn't let me review again. Just returned from our stay with friends in the new bedrooms. Omg the rooms are beautiful, the hosts again so welcoming and friendly and the food last night was superb. Finished the night off in the bar with some locals and had a great time. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend ๐Ÿ‘Œ
